Poll question: Is Reagan in the coffin? If not where?
I'll be honest. I don't think he's in there. I don't see Nancy dragging him all around the country like that. I think he is in Cali. and when they get back they'll put him in it and plant it.

3. I think he's been dead...and buried...for quite some time.
I believe the Republican party put the announcement, and this circus funeral, on hold until their hour of greatest need. With Bush swirling down the toilet, and with the revelations that he was ground zero for the torture approvals, it was time to finally time to play the Dead Reagan card.

It is an empty box they're shipping around the country in the summer heat, and it is an empty box they will plant tomorrow.

4. Reagan's not actually dead. . .
They couldn't find Osama, so as an October Surprise, Bush is going to resurrect Reagan :).

5. This is sick.
Your Mama ought to slap your face. Lincoln was dragged over the country from DC to Springfield,Ill. The train stopped everywhere.

Reagan planned this years ago. It is 300 pages of instructions. If you don't like it shut off your TV. I never saw any of it. What was wrong with you?
When Kennedy died there was no plan. US Presidents do plan for that now. Like it or not what you saw was Reagan's plan.

When others die we will see what happens.

12. This isn't SICK, I'm asking a real question. I don't think he is in there
Your mama needs to Slap some sense into you. The whole Lincoln thing was WAY back in the day. Back before 9/11. No real threat that someone would blow up the train.

Think about the security for possible terrorist attacks, I don't think they wanna take the chance.

I don't think Nancy would want to take the chance that something else would happen to Ronnie.

Just cus there are 300 pages of instructions doesn't mean that they didn't plan to leave him in Cali.

15. I saw it, but think about it when they had the fright with the small
plane did they try to get his remains to safety as well?

17. He wasn't near the Capitol yet, at that point.
He was still on Constitution Avenue, a couple of miles away.

6. seriously? I'd conjecture he was cremated ... on another point though ...
in retrospect ... I wondered why Cheney was at the Reagan Library with Nancy on March 17, 2004 ... just to deliver a speech? or was the speech a charade?

"Vice President Dick Cheney says President Bush has achieved important victories in the war on terrorism, despite recent bombings in Madrid and Baghdad. Mr. Cheney spoke at the Reagan Presidential Library in California Wednesday, where he portrayed Democratic presidential contender John Kerry as indecisive. Mike O'Sullivan reports, Senator Kerry, for his part, criticized what he called the failed policies of the Bush administration."

http://www.globalsecurity.org/security/library/news/2004/03/sec-040317-2ee8203e.htm

Cheney used the Reagan venue to criticize Senator Kerry ... imo, that doesn't seem appropriate ... save that talk when collecting excessive campaign funds ... but, not at the Reagan Library ... but, that's beside the point ...

when we're not allowed to wonder and think and analyze things anymore without being considered 'sick' --- where are we?

8. I agree Xultar. I started a simliar thread on Wednesday
which was completely ignored.

I'm the type who automatically wonders about things like this. I mean, no one sees the body; why bother dragging it all over the place?

9. I used to work in a funeral home.

Frankly, it's completely unreasonable to assume he's NOT in the casket. There are no considerations about expense, etc., so why WOULDN'T he be? What purpose would possibly be served by leaving him in CA? Come one, people, let's put away the :tinfoilhat: for a while, OK?

11. The body wouldn't smell.
If he's been properly embalmed (and I would bet my last dollar they did the BEST job they're capable of doing), he'll keep for months, if not years...

14. Think about it for ten seconds. One leak from a mortuary staffer
and it ruins the whole thing--the GOP has defrauded all those people who filed by. They'd never risk it.

16. Are you kidding?
Within 10 minutes, they would be spinning a "national security" excuse on FAUX News, claiming that Reagan's corpse was threatened by "terra-ists", so they sent an empty coffin out on the road. And the Sheeple would buy every word of it.

I'm gonna go play on Howard-Forums for a while and talk with geeks about cell phones and Bluetooth headsets until the National Day of Mourning is over here @ DU!
