Do you remember the great New York City black out in the late seventies. It was caused in part because of a problem with the grid that cut New York off from plants in Canada that supplied some of its power.

51. Do a little research on the Great NY Blackout of 1977
It is a great study on how one small problem can lead to more problems until the whole City goes dark. The same type of thing can happen to an entire section of the grid, but supposedly they put in some changes after 1977 to prevent this.

I am trying to find some information. I will post links if I find anything good.

it was absolutely predictable and in fact, I predicted it in a previous post.



And, there's one been another data point that's not included when I posted this in late June, very early July.

It's time to get these two lines back together again. For reference purposes, the blue lines is people that would vote to reelect Bush, the pink line is people who either will not vote for Bush or will consider someone else.
