At 5:20 p.m. (est) CNN Announces on Scroll..President Bush/Been Informed!
GEEZE! This has been going on for over an hour and CNN has crawl that President Bush has been informed!!!

My God this is an indictment of this group of Squatters! People don't even know what's going on who are caught up in this and Our Pres and Director of Homeland..Ridge can't even get out there on CNN and Calm Peoples Nerves.......

It's just like 9/11 WHERE ARE THEY! Disgusting! Clinton would have been all over the place.......any other President would have been all over the place.

Pictures of people wandering in the streets of New York.......they don't know how they are going to get home! Trapped in Subways and Elevators........No communication.

I lived through the last big Power Outage in New York and was trapped in a Subway for hours in this kind of heat.......I hope this ends soon because it's the most awful claustrophobic experience one can have .....except for being trapped in an elevator....(from which KoKo1 would have been removed in a straight jacket because I'm really claustrophobic!)

Where is Bush? Where is Ridge.......where are these Fucking Cowards!

6. Cheney's self-contained -- he's battery powered
Bush will claim later this evening he inherited the outage from the Clinton administration, and the lights will be out until the top marginal tax rate is lowered below 20%

8. ABC talked to a presidential embedded reporter 15 minutes ago......
WOW........such a leader!!!

With this power outage.....

It is reported by one of his imbedded reporters in Miramar Calif that Bush is:

1. just finished a lunch speech with troops on a base in Miramar.

2. is AWARE of the power problem - though doesn't know who, what, why.

3. (not too concerned about the who, what, why) He is now on his way to the San Diego Hyatt for some down time (IE, his nap!) so he will be ready for his high dollar fundraising dinner.

Yep.......he's our leader and protector.

Basically......he could give a shit!

This is soooooo totally an issue that would warrant the emergency broadcasting system for a report from THE DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY (that is, if in fact, we really ARE in the middle of a war on terror).

Meanwhile Ted Koppel and reporters with cell phones on the ground will unravel the mystery.

AMAZING! If the media whores don't talk this up as proof that Homeland Security is bullshit I will scream! No matter WHAT the reason is for the outage .......in these "terra times" the govt should be addressing the nation!

17. the juvenile setting is just so perfect
Funny that such a historic photo isn't shown more. I mean, this is the moment the president found out about the most traumatic single event in our history, it's on film, but only the "fringe" websites show it.

15. And where the hell is the national guard????
They should swoop in within an hour's time to maintain order.

Meanwhile, Saul Shapiro, Citizen at Large, is directing traffic at 66th street and ___ avenue. Saul for Prez!!!!!!

Oh, I forgot, the national guard is dodging bullets in Iraq!

Well, I guess I am not as worried about Ridge calling a Red Alert/martial law. there's something!
