I haven't heard anything about the grand jury--he's saying
there are clues that the investigation is getting towards
the end.

8. John Dean says it doesn't qualify as "treason"
There are other laws that can be used.

What's funny is that Bushwa may consult a private attorney because of what Ken Starr did during the Clinton years. That would be a hoot if Bushwa is caught in something because of what they did to Clinton. :)

20. maybe the worst part of the Plame affair is........
the NOC for whom she worked at CIA

did you hear about that?

It's a company doing business in Saudia Arabia with Aramco, which is their oil company, owned by the sauds and run by various big oil companies

Ruppert discusses this in his CIA coup articles, if you choose to believe what he has to say about this

as such, we've lost an IRREPLACEABLE source into the highest level workings of the Saudi oil infrastructure, especially access to knowledge of what their true oil reserves might be

and if you buy the Peak Oil theory, it's crucial info, cause it goes to the heart of their being able to shore up missing oil in the short run, and may make shit-hitting-fan time come a lot sooner than we thought.

I don't have the Ruppert link, but it's handy....and was subject of many threads here over the past week.

well worth a read

25. energy independence wouldn't be a myth today
if they hadn't destroyed Carter's presidency over it

that was one of the 2 jewels in his crown; one of the TWO things he hoped to accomplish as presidency:

energy independence: "Dependence on foreign oil is the moral equivalent of war", or something close to that

remember CAFE standards?

if they'd been followed, cars now would be getting a MINIMUM of 40 mpg by now, but congress didn't want to hear NOTHING about that, thanks to their real bosses behind the scenes. so he got buried on that, along with campaign finance reform

before he realized what hit him (mostly by his own party, as he had wide margins in both houses), his presidency was effectively over

think I'm exaggerating?

27. Agreed ...

I posted an article yesterday. Basically my thesis is that CARTER defeated the Gas Lines of the 1970s through higher energy efficiencies. The Arabs came to realize that America was weening themselves of Petro-Crack via lack of supply. That's a shitty way to vend a drug!!!!

The low gas prices of the 80s and 90s can be COMPLETELY attributed to the Carter initiatives that signalled that America was poised to push for more energy independence if oil became too expensive. So the Arabs CUT oil prices in order to pre-empt the development of alternative energy technologies. Basically, they took away any economic justification for heavy R&D when gas was .98 cents a gallon!!!

Then you have Bush come into office and start slashing through programs designed to promote alternative energy sources. What happens ... the price of oil goes BACK UP. There is no longer ANY threat with Bush their to slash and hinder energy independence.

You're right ... we SHOULD be at 40mpg CAFE standards right now. Our SUVs should also be reclassified as passenger vehicles instead of TRUCKS!! (exempt from CAFE).

The globalizers have the SAME agenda for companies across the world. Control the resources that people CANNOT due without .... UTILIITIES ... WATER, GAS, ELECTRICY, HEATING OIL!!!! Then, drive up the prices unmercifully once meddlesome "regulation" is eliminated!!!!
