What are the chances of Bill Clinton having something named after him?
Reagan fired the air traffic controllers and he gets an airport named after him? He stressed a smaller government and he has a federal building named after him. What are the chances Bill Clinton will have something named after him?

2. He already has. THE CLENIS!!!! RATATATATAT!
Seriously, when his administration is analized after time has passed, we will see a re-evaluation and probably he will grow to a larger stature.
But the repugs did such a good job, that yesterday in the News Hour, they classified him as an "average" president... and I am sure it was because they felt that saying "below average" would REALLY be too much of a stretch.

3. Who classified him?
Historians? Pundits?

4. The contributing "pundits" they consult during this program.
I was laughing my head off. They classified Carter as either "below average" or "poor". I don't remember exactly. But to me Carter was a victim of Reagan's treachery, among other things.

5. I wonder what would happen if...
...the next time Republicans want to name something after Reagan, Democrats counter-offer, "You want to name X after Reagan? Fine, we'll go along with it if you'll go along with naming Y after Clinton." That might be the only way to get anything named for Clinton or any other Democrat. Not that I'm a big fan of Clinton, there were plenty of things he did as president that I did not like, but I do think he was a hundred times better president than Reagan.

And I wonder if this whole debate isn't downright silly, anyway. What's important isn't what we call things, but that the interests of fairness and justice and democracy are served. And that's one of the big differences between Democrats and Republicans, in my opinion. Republicans are all about symbols and style and appearances and meaningless fluff, while Democrats are more about substance.

9. Slim to none......
Until we get rid of the rightwingers who are running everything,we won't be able to get anything named after him. After all,the repukes are so moral and all,it would be beneath them to agree to name anything after President Clinton.(wink). Plus, their absolute hatred for him would never let them do it. Repukes are the most selfish, hatefilled hypocrites that ever lived.

13. OOh, goody.
Let's play this game some more.

How about naming black hoods after "Bush?"

Of course, a particularly deadly lie--one that brings lots of money to one's friends but costs thousands of people their lives--would, of course, be "A Major Bush."

I think I'd rather have the cigar, sweetie.

Clinton jokes! How striking original! And after * has been in office for over three years, how cutting edge!

Let's name any foolish grammitcal error after shrub.

How about any major dishonest theft? How about making his name a synomym for fraud? Pyramid scheme? How about Bush scheme instead?

Keep up the clever jokes, hun. You won't last long here.

12. Already a Clinton elementary
Here near L.A.--I think it's in Compton.

Troubled school district, but I think an elementary school in an urban area is a perfect venue to carry his name.

14. He will
You have to start small and work your way up. There are already a few elementary schools that bear his name. Then you work your way up to high schools, professional schools, think tanks and government buildings. Clinton could also be used as a bargaining chip: if the conservatives want to rename this or that after Reagan, we should demand consolation prizes for Clinton. I would like to see the HHS beadquarters named after him. A president who moved millions from welfare to work, millions out of poverty, created Americorps and stopped Newt Gingrich from destroying the social safety net.

15. I would suggest to the Repugs that they can name different things
after Reagan.

As long as they replace Republican statesmen.

Wait, I'm channeling from ten minutes into the future . . .

"Welcome to the Republican States of Reagan, formerly known as the USA."

"Have the Family vacation at Reaganworld, in Lovely Reagan, in the great state of Reagan."

"Climb to the top of the 555 foot Reagan monument in historic Reagan D. C."

I've been toying with the idea. Wife's not so hot on it, even though she likes Clinton.
