1. Culture wars
I think one reason many places around the world don't like the US is because of our emphasis on consumerism and economics rather than culture and spirituality.

2. I agree. She is getting pissy now. What right has the US to
intervene in other countries (this in response to a woman saying that "US is so generous, so wonderful, and we have the right to go and deal with countries that sponsor terrorism).
she also talked highly of Zapatero from Spain who is WORKING WITH MOROCCO to deal with terrorism INSTEAD of attacking Morocco.

3. A caller said some things that are true about Syria... but then
he went off the deep end. Syria was a dictatorship for a long time.

In my opinion, the guy there now (Bashar Assad) seems to be working towards change but now I really don't know reality in Syria because of the American propaganda.
