I'm sorry, but can't he say ANYTHING right?
Headline News showed a clip of Junior at his father's 80th birthday party, and after making an inane and humorless joke, he described his dad's jump from an airplane - and he used the phrase "arms sprayed".

.....

IT'S "SPLAYED" YOU FUCKING MORON. ARMS SPLAYED!

1. Hm....did his hands get caught in the propeller or something?
Then they'd be sprayed.

(sorry)

4. Thanks for allowing me to exercise my audible
laugh. You know, that proverbial "LOL" that we've all come to know and love.

Your post, and especially the way you presented it, made me freaking LOL. Kewl.

If Junior weren't so funny, he'd be sad! And, of course, vice versa.

5. He does something like that every time he speaks. EVERY TIME.
Edited on Sun Jun-13-04 10:59 AM by Cat Atomic
If any other politician did that, it'd be noticed. But Bush is so widely regarded as an imbecile that he can slaughter the language and people just sort of shrug and say, "we know what he means".

It's like watching a 3 year old. The man is so embarrassing.

He's a product of TV culture, and a beneficiary of it.

13. A Yale and Harvard grad...
Which says alot about their standards for "legacy" admissions.
I used to be impressed when I heard that someone graduated from one of these schools.
Not anymore.

14. They're hard to come by, but if you see videos
of Bush from the late 70s and early 80s, his speech was noticeably different. First off, it wasn't as twangy (although, the twanginess still comes and goes according to the occasion). Secondly, he actually strung together coherent sentences, with acceptable grammar and syntax and no oops-I-lost-my-train-of-thought pauses. He wasn't an elegant speaker by any means, but even in off-the-cuff remarks he was well within the normal range.

Just shows to go you what happens when heavy alcohol abuse, cocaine use, and the normal aging process collide.
