2 U.S. Troops Die in Iraqi Convoy Attacks

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Two American soldiers were killed in separate attacks on their convoys over the weekend in the Iraqi capital, the military said Monday.

The first soldier died in a firefight after two armed assailants opened fire, said Sgt. Patrick Compton, a spokesman for the military. The soldiers opened fire, killing one of the attackers and wounding the other. The wounded suspect was taken into custody.

In the second attack, insurgents threw a homemade bomb at another U.S. convoy, killing a soldier. Both of the dead American solders were from the Army's 1st Armored Division, the Germany-based division which is charged with occupying Baghdad.

At least three U.S. troops have been killed in Baghdad in a 24-hour period.

At midday Sunday, an assailant shot and killed a U.S. soldier waiting to buy a soft drink at Baghdad University, firing once from close range.

5. 200 and something with nearly a 1000 others wounded
And when I say wounded I don't mean cuts and scratches either.

6. is it just me...
or does it seem like nothing is coming out of Washington about this...all's I keep hearing is how many die every day...?

Doesn't anyone think that everytime there is a report on another soldier murdered over there that it helps bring shruby's approval rating down...?

I haven't heard him say a thing about these troops that gave their lives for his war...all's I see him doing is making the same old speeches about terrorism...?

oh yea...and being on the campaign trail saying the same old bullshit...!

And to be blunt...I'm getting dam tired of him saying the same old thing...

he has got to go...!

7. John Wayne Bush...............
could care less. "Bring 'em on"! He's safely hidden and protected from all forms of peril. It's very easy to talk big and with much bravado when you're flying 30,000 feet over Iraq and never coming face to face with the struggles of our servicemen and women. I'll bet he does a "fly over" in Liberia as well, so he can assess the situation "first hand" there. The chicken shit bastard, AWOL, son of a bitch needs to step down and return the course of this country toward that which is just and right for all, not just corporate America. :grr:

9. Bring 'em on back to Dover
creepy, but the gloves have to come off with this fuck. Everyone should deride him both publicly and privately on a continuous basis. The policies of this cabal cannot bear scrutiny. The actual numbers should be quoted continuously, and people should be corrected when quoting the tidied-up, full-fledged and undeniable "combat" mortalities.

The full number of all deaths, civilian, military, foreign, Iraqi military and assorted no-accounts needs to also be tallied up, augmented with all cholera and related deaths and kept as a running electric number board in every main square in every city in the land. This sociopath has to be treated like the cockroach he is.
