Concept of small government
Small Government

What it means to liberals:

The government should stay out of my business, not force choices on me, not spy on me, stay out of my sex life, not make rediculous laws limiting our freedom and somewhat keep the deficit from spiraling out of control.

What it means to conservatives:

Government should not be able stop me from creating enormous monopolies that can crush all competition and make their own rules and laws that exploit regular working people.

4. I only brought this up because
I was just reading something about how Reagan was a genius becuase he said we need "less government" in our lives. I think someone better notify Bush about this now that he wants to be the next Reagan.

6. As with many things - it's not the size tha counts, it's the quality...
There are times that call for a bigger government (depressions, major wars), so I don't think "small government" in and of itself is necessarily a good thing. Efficient government however, is crucial.
