Carter is very much into Habitat for Humanity and Clinton is Very heavy into AIDS relief. What was Reagan into or Bush 1 or Ford? I find their humanitarian efforts sadly lacking.

2. Reagan did NOTHING, but he was a sick man
Bush has been playing games with Halliburton and the Carlyle group and is heavily invested in shipping America's manufacturing base off to China. Ford, as far as I know, has been playing golf.

Personally, I'd prefer nonactivist GOP ex presidents. Consider the harm that Daddy Bush is doing to this country. What do you think this country will do in the next big war with no manufacturing base?

4. Didn't the Gipper go almost immediately to Japan where he gave a seven-
figure speech? He was worth that for surely this stipend was not largely a gift in appreciation of the Gipper's policies with respect to Japanese exports to the good ole US of A.

7. One would think becoming President would be an ultimate...
but for Carter it was penultimate and has been able to go on to have the respect of much of the world.
