In a statement, Moore said: "It is sadly very possible that many 15- and 16-years-olds will be asked and recruited to serve in Iraq in the next couple of years. If they are old enough to be recruited and capable of being in combat and risking their lives, they certainly deserve the right to see what is going on in Iraq.''

1. Absolutely crazy.
They've gone overboard with the "R" rating! This is the workings of war! Every child should be educated in the realities of war. I would think the pro-war against Iraq people would also agree, since they should want an educated citizenry, but I think the reality is otherwise.

3. The Busheviks are really pulling out all the stops, aren't they?
Like the Nazis they pattern themselves after, the one thing a Bushevik cannot abide is the free flow of information and ideas.

5. it was to be expected
of course they're gonna give it an R rating, they'll do anything in their power to prevent people from seeing anything that is anti-bush, look what they did to Howard Stern. I don't think this is a big deal, and will in no way stop people from seeing it. Moore's message will get out, and I will be one of the first people in line to see it when it comes out.

6. It will backfire on repubs
Putting an R rating on the film will only incite MORE to go and see the film.....it will not restrict those who are determined to see the film one iota.

Not having seen the film, I can't help but wonder what criteria are necessary for an "R" rating....is there sex in the film???? Acts of indecency???? Violence????? Or is it simply that 15-16 year olds just can't handle the truth????

10. Rating is for violence and language...
"The MPAA issued the rating because of the film's "violent and disturbing images and for language." "

8. It should probably be rated NC-17
Because of all of the obscenities it portrays...I'm talking about the actions of the BFEE.

15. My daughter has already told me she is going to see it
It will be an interesting night sitting with her trying to explain the shit she is going to see. She actually borrowed my 'Bowling for Columbine" and "Dude, where's my Country" to read this weekend.

I am very pleased. She has become aware without my prodding. For that I am proudest.
