Counter Clinton Library? Do they really want to go there?

This may be old news to many DU'ers, but listening to NPR on my way home I heard a piece about the plans for the Clinton Presidential Library in Little Rock. They mentioned there are also plans for a "Counter Clinton Library", also in Little Rock.

When I got in I Googled and found this site:

I am sick and tired of these Freeper's unprecedented tactics to spread their ditto-headed hate mongering and revisionism. Whether it is "alerting" an employer about someone's thoughts, "reporting" liberal membership lists to the FBI, forming "think tanks" to spew more BS or now this - we cannot let these things go unanswered any more.

I repeat - WE CANNOT LET THESE THINGS GO UNANSWERED ANY MORE!

Think about all the hard, verifiable information we could gather to create a Counter Reagan Library or Counter George Herbert Walker Bush Library!

I would like to suggest starting with Virtual (online and/or on CD/video) Counter Reagan and Bush Libraries, since that would be quicker, easier and less expensive than the physical structures.

No offense to book collectors :)

I used to argue that we can't stoop to their level. By definition, progressives welcome alternate views and approaches. We live by the Golden Rule - you know, the original one, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you", not the new one, "He who has the gold makes the rules."

Its like the country is being consumed by a firestorm of lies. Little fires (lies) would pop up here and there. We assumed they would burn themselves out as long as we didn't give them any more fuel. While we have been getting on with our lives, these ditto-heads were feeding the fires. Now liberals are spreading water (truth) in hopes of containing the damage and it is working, but it may not work quickly enough. It's time to fight fire with fire.

This confirms what I talking to my friends about last night. Everything republicans do is just so sleazy. This is just one more sleazy act on top of thousands (or tens of thousands).

The tax exempt status must be challenged. One way to do it is to set up foundations to create Counter Reagan and Bush Libraries. If either or both of them are denied, there is cause to challenge the Counter Clinton being approved.

They may regret the tax exempt status since it will require the group be more public about its supporters and activities. They will now have to release the list of contributors, land (and other property) acquisitions, membership lists and other info they have been able to keep secret so far.

That is a scary thought!

I wonder how much money they have raised and I would sure like to see a list of donors. Anyway to get that information since they are *tax exempt*?

When the CounterClinton crazoids actually purchase some land in Little Rock for this little monument. That will be, according to the latest calculations, six week after hell freezes over.

Actually, the time was in 2002 when plans were announced.

Or maybe the time was when the Reagan and Bush libraries were opened with their versions of the respective administrations.

They will probably get some sort of facility open eventually. In the mean time they are getting press and putting out their message online and in fundraising efforts.

I figure the freeper hate museum won't get much support. I heard the NPR story as well, and find it interesting that the man behind it is from Houston. He'll soon find out that we Arkansans love to take Texan's money and laugh all the way to the bank.

I'll go in calling it a "lie-berry" and with a terrible case of gas so I fart constantly. Then, I will have allergies and wipe my boogers on their precious documents and on the bottoms of their books. It will be my tribute to their tribute.

I want to say on Cspan but don't quote me who is creating this library. He said it will be in close proximity to the real one in walking distance. Perhaps the scoop on him can be dug up you know they always have a bag of skeletons hiding in the closet.

Why does the Right hate Clinton so much?


I voted for him. I liked him. I didn't care for a couple things he did and didn't do but he was a good prez. He was charming and intelligent; the economy seemed to be doing well. The BJ and the attempt to hide it can't be the ONLY thing they hate him for. What is it? Any one care to venture an answer to this?

I'd vote for Clinton Again if he were able to run....ah what a lovely dream. *sigh*
