Was Reagan buried facing the wrong way?

OK, this has been bothering me since Friday, but no one has written about it. When the honor guard put Reagan's casket on the bier-like thingy in front of the carved stone, the stars of the flag were facing backwards, toward the sunset. Am I wrong, or is the field of stars supposed to go over the left shoulder of the deceased -- and, if so -- does that mean Reagan was entombed with his head facing the carved stone and NOT the western sky? It also means that Nancy was carrying on over her husband's feet, not his head. Does anyone open the box before it's too late to make sure stuff like this doesn't happen??

Of course, they do bury suspected vampires upside down ...
