Why is Cheney nicknamed "Crashcart"?
They've called him that numerous times in the Top 10 Conservative Idiots, and I've already wondered what it meant. Anybody know?

1. Crashcart is a medical term
for (correct me if I'm wrong, nurses) the cart in a hospital with supplied for a patient who starts to go into cardiac arrest.

11. Right, the crash cart is a red toolchest on wheels
which is full of all the emergency drugs and equipment you'd need to resuscitate somebody who is trying to die ahead of time.

People call him Crashcart Cheney because he's highly likely to need it.

2. When a patient goes "Code Blue" in a hospital, they call for the crashcart
The Crashcart has the defibrillator and Cheney has a miniature defibrillator in his chest.

4. that's hilarious
a crashcart is used in emergencies to resuscitate people, like in an ER or in the hospital, when someone goes into cardiac arrest, they call for the crashcart, which contains lots of medications etc used in the effort to "save" the person.

I love the moniker!

9. technically, he is a walking "Resuscitate when necessary" order
that's why he's got a built in defib machine.

16. Yeah... my brother observed once...
that Crashcart struck him as someone who'd have his body frozen in liquid nitrogen in the hopes of living forever.

Chilling thought--and deadly accurate, I think.

:nuke:

5. Because he has a heart attack every three minutes.
The "crash cart" is the rolling defibrillator machine at the hospital.

6. Ummm, he's one dysfunctional pacemaker and a crashcart
away from seeing his God? Given his limited remaining cardiac function, he has to be followed around by a personal physcian armed with portable defib and all the routine emergency equipment required for full CPR.

But, I'm sort of leaning towards those who think it may take the stake through the (already dead) heart....

(Simply a metaphor, John Assskkkkroft and any monitoring agents...simply metaphor)

7. Aren't you the guy who posted a Bombing in Indy thread?
What happened with your co-worker? Why did he say that?

10. Yeah, That turned out to be bullshit.
A girl I work with was talking to a friend on the phone, and apparently the local Indy stations interrupted programming to report a bombing in a mall, with 24 people injured. It turned out to be a drill at the mall, that the news channel picked up as a real story. Somebody gonna get fired over that one. (At the TV station, not the place where I work.)

13. Yeah, I see there's a thread in LBN about the drill.
Why do they need to have Terror drills at the mall several times a year? Americans are becoming hysterical nittwits.

14. Because a frightened populace is easier to keep in line.
Expect more of these. What really pisses me off is how the news stations in town just picked it up and ran with it, without doing any research WHATSOEVER.

15. Man, that's really pathetic. I wouldn't rely on them for my news.
But you know what? I think once again the Promoters of Fear are going to have a backfire. They can cry wolf only so many times before Americans get pissed.

19. Did you know what his secret service codename is?
Not sure if it's the same, but when he was Secretary of Defense under Bush 41 his codename was "Backseat"
