I say we were an enemy-by-proxy, his hate for America is based on our relationship with Israel.

5. I'm sure it had nothing to do with Gulf War I...
or the sanctions...or us generally bombing the crap out of the no-fly zones for 12 years. Nope. It was Israel.

And remember, he was our good friend back in the 70s and 80s when we sold him chemical weapons and supported him in his war against Iran...our relationship with Israel didn't seem to bother him that much...
