1. When he said that he made the remarks about wearing one's religion on
their sleeves and saying that if people thought he was talking about W, oh well. I LOVED that.

5. ...some pretty heart-felt
emotions for his dad and mom. I didn't always agree with my dad, but he's still my dad and now that he's dead, I'll defend his legacy no matter what.

and the comment about the large amount of "piety" in DC was another good one! I love the guy...he's articulate and intelligent.

6. It was. It really was. His wife is very lucky.
What a sincere soul and gentle man. He has inherited some gifts from his father. I've always liked him, but now I like him a lot.

And my appreciation of Nancy Reagan has grown tremendously these past few weeks. She's a pretty tough lady, and smarter and savvier than I thought. I was just too young when Reagan was President to appreciate how strong she was.
