Does Anyone Have the Stomach to Watch Dennis Miller?
I can't stand the man, although I was cheered that he got booed in his interview tonight when he was talking about how we need less checks on what's going on. The man resorts to bashing Clinton, how...timely. Anyway, does anyone actually watch his show? If so, is he the crusted over sack of crap through the whole thing? Also, how's it doing ratings wise?

But only because he made Miller look like a fool. That was months ago.

I can't stand Dennis Miller anymore. He became a sort of Nazi court jester.

I don't remember him being such a warhawk on his HBO show. I figure when Bill's Politically Incorrect show got canned shortly after 9/11 cause of the opinions he made, guys like Miller were scared they were next.
You were either with them or against them and they didn't want you to forget.

6. No, he was an asshole before 9/11.
I remember watching his show on HBO right after the selection of W. He had on a Congresswoman from either Texas or California and she was not happy that the Supremes had coronated W. He started yelling, actually yelling at this woman, "Hey, the guy just elected, for God's sake? Why don't you give him a chance?" And more in that vein. My sister called right after he started his raving and asked me what the hell had happened to Dennis? It was a good question.

5. Two or three weeks into his new show

The ratings were so bad that they yanked him off the air for a couple weeks while they overhauled the show. The audience is paid. Someone posted the notice awhile back: it offered $20 IIRC, to be in the audience.

Actually, the two-week hiatus was arranged so Dennis could do a quick gig at the East Snellville Baptist Church bake-sale, a very lucrative new market he's been working.

In a web search, I learned from his booking agency that he's available for weddings and bar mitzvahs. So was John Wayne Gacy, but somehow I don't ever want to go there.


And no, I will not watch him. I still remember his remarks about arabs after 9-11 on HBO. He's a racist.

Turned on the TV, saw him, turned it off. Rarely watch Leno anymore because that Traitorous Asshole and useless Media Trash was on nearly every week. Who's in charge at the Nazi Broadcasting Company nowadays?:puke:

22. Miller is on CNBC and
I think Roger Ailes(FoxNewsChannel's Roger Ailes, not the blogger) was head of it before he went over to Fox. Most likely, all of his direct reports and producers were Republicans. Tweety Matthews' producer worked in chimpie's White House briefly.

Even his audience - core wignuts - didn't laugh....and he had to call attention to it and say something like...'geez the french suck!' to get an enthusiastic response and then say 'yeah, that's more like it!'

So sad.

why is it such a topic of concern why this loser says what he says? He came off as an asshole during his SNL years (when the whole show sucked) and he's proving the point people have made that he's a colossal dickwad...a syncophant sellout willing to pay for an audience of numbskulls more than willing to applaud when the prompter board tells them to do so, in order to earn fifteen or twenty bucks...

21. Dennis Miller, Geraldo, and Dick Morris
are the worst sacks of shit on T.V. because they don't even believe the bullshit they're selling. There's a reason why Bush is ahead in polls when people get their news primarily from cable or radio talk shows and he's behind with those who get their news from the Internet, or newspapers . His show, like so many others, are news for the functionally illiterate.

15. Miller trying to reinvent himself
Have you ever heard Willie Nelson's story? He was a suit wearing, short hair sporting, go with the mainstream culture kind of guy. He reinvented himself as a hippie and his career took off. George carlin did the same thing. I have always thought that Miller was attempting the same sort of move, but to the right instead of the left, but it's not working. Now he's branded himself and there's no going back. Poor, stupid sucker.

if ever his face appears on my screen, my thumb automatically clicks right past him . . . it's an involuntary response, and something I have absolutely no control over . . . same thing happens with certain others, e.g. Bush, Rumsfeld, Cheney, Rice, O'Reilly, Paris Hilton, etc. . . (come to think of it, there's a lot of 'em) . . .

It's gotten to the point that I can't listen to the radio or watch the TV unless I have a way to instantly change the station or channel or turn the damn thing off. My tolerance for bullshit is at an all time low.
