Twerp in a tu-tu.

Reply 5 - Posted by: mjsp, 6/18/2004 10:43:02 PM

Oh, for pete's sake! twinkle toes barely knew his Father. Just look at his actions during his adult years. How phony.

Reply 6 - Posted by: TwoSistas, 6/18/2004 10:46:46 PM

Ronnie must be spinning in his grave. This is President Reagan's lone failure in life.

Reply 7 - Posted by: god of irony, 6/18/2004 10:52:34 PM

Prissy piece of crap. Chrissy should have interviewed Michael instead.

Reply 9 - Posted by: Muncsdad, 6/18/2004 10:54:46 PM

God Bless Ronald Reagan--the original one...

God help Ronald Reagan (Jr), the pathetic son...

Reply 13 - Posted by: Cameron, 6/18/2004 11:04:42 PM

There's something VERY creepy about RR Jr. He truly is the bad seed.

Reply 15 - Posted by: Epirb , 6/18/2004 11:13:58 PM

Who is more despicable? Chris Matthews, the official mouthpiece of the Democratic National Committee or the little twerp from nowhere who's never done anything in his sad life-- Ron Reagan, Jr.

Reply 17 - Posted by: CorkysDad, 6/18/2004 11:14:59 PM

I'd give a months earnings to smack that twit upside his empty head. What a Clymer.

Reply 19 - Posted by: arikari, 6/18/2004 11:17:55 PM

Did this guy even graduate from college?

Reply 20 - Posted by: Forehand, 6/18/2004 11:22:58 PM

The only work little Ronnie can get these days is commentating dog shows on the Animal Planet channel. Even the dogs won't give him a sound bite.

Reply 21 - Posted by: Stars-stripes, 6/18/2004 11:24:00 PM

Little Ronnie. Still hanging on to daddy's coattails, even after he is gone. What a grave robber. One bad seed. They always say, a man is not responsible for the sins of the father, but this shows the inverse is also true. He should just go back to making his living by announcing dog shows on Animal Planet for that is the highest calling this loser will ever achieve.

Reply 22 - Posted by: Aussiegirl, 6/18/2004 11:26:25 PM

A friend pointed out to me that genes have a way of popping up unexpectedly. Nancy Reagan's father was a rotter who abandoned the family and was completely irresponsible. I think some of those genes skipped a generation and popped up in Ron - and also a bit in Patti. Sometimes no matter how wonderful parents are and how hard they try -- kids just do and say dumb things and grow up stupid and irresponsible.

Reply 23 - Posted by: mountaintop2, 6/18/2004 11:28:45 PM

When day is done this smug little loser barely has a job and George W. Bush is President of the United States.

Reply 27 - Posted by: esmith, 6/18/2004 11:40:49 PM

Neither ron, jr. or patti graduated from college. Both started, but never finished.
When is chrissy going to have Michael Reagan
on his show?

Reply 28 - Posted by: arikari, 6/18/2004 11:42:41 PM

He's a twerp who has done absolutely nothing with his life, but now bottom feeds on fifth-rate cable television shows by attacking Republicans. Pathetic.

Reply 29 - Posted by: PoliticalJunky, 6/18/2004 11:54:47 PM

I also resented Ron's remark concerning religion on one's sleeve. However, he is actually a cut above his sister, Patty. When his father was elected President, Ron immediately married the woman he was living with. And, despite his liberal leanings he never bad mouthed his father or mother.

Patty was so mean, so vocal about her, very close to, hatred of her mother that had I been Nancy I doubt I could have forgiven her.

Reply 31 - Posted by: AHerald, 6/19/2004 12:00:16 AM

One son of an American president goes on to become an American president, while another son of an American president goes on to host Eukanoobadooba dog shows on Animal Planet ... Do the math.

Reply 32 - Posted by: Aquivit, 6/19/2004 12:00:19 AM

I thought he was talking about the rapist ex-pres and his 10 pound Bible that he carried to church once or twice a year.

Reply 35 - Posted by: thedivasmom, 6/19/2004 12:06:44 AM

I was slightly surprised by the words of both these children at the funeral....knowing their political and social backgrounds during the Reagan Presidency. However, now the true colors are coming back to the surface and I feel sorry for Nancy and am so glad that their father, the best President of the 20 th Century does not have to be embarrassed anymore by these two. So many times children of famed parents are determined to take the spotlight and belittle their parents as if to say "Hey, what about us?" Anything for their name to be in the paper...sounds like a Democrat, right?

Reply 36 - Posted by: virge randall , 6/19/2004 12:23:24 AM

Who wants to bet that ron jr. divorces his wife in the next six months and moves to San Francisco?

Reply 38 - Posted by: PilarOSalt, 6/19/2004 12:56:16 AM

How veddy lovely that the little Reagan/Davis twerps made up with their parents before the Last Will & Testament was set in stone. An unoriginal, yet still sad story.

That gawdawful Twinkie, Ron jr, could have made himself useful and trimmed Patti's hair a bit before the funeral. Just a little off the dead ends, you know...Pilar

Reply 39 - Posted by: ivanhoe, 6/19/2004 1:37:17 AM

little ronnie's wife is "bearding" for him

Reply 40 - Posted by: mominNoCA, 6/19/2004 1:47:21 AM

I haven't heard from Michael Reagan, the President's other son.
He must be in mourning.

Reply 41 - Posted by: Cameron, 6/19/2004 1:59:19 AM

You can't pick your family. I have a brother who's a total ahole and I've resigned myself to the fact that my brother is a flaming liberal ahole. So the ballet twit and the other one, the girl, Patty, somehow didn't take. But History will reward President Reagan and the two odd ones will spend their sorry lives as ghouls.

2. Wow...The Monkeys Got Shook Out Of The Trees...LOL
I love this one:

Nancy Reagan's father was a rotter who abandoned the family and was completely irresponsible.

Now the truth: Nancy's father was Dr. Loyal Davis who ran the Northwestern University Medical school for 40 years. Yeah, he really deserted his family. Both my father and brother knew him...my father knew Nancy, who he called a "pampered little bitch". Yep, some broken family there.

I get a laugh at the Raygun icon they've created which will soon be erected in B-1 Bob Dornan's back yard.

Today I had fun with a "Raygun Repugnican"...discussing Ron Jr. He wasn't upset that Ron P. had dissed Bunnypants...that seems to be a new passion of some Repugnicans these days. It was more along the image of Raygun he had vs. what the man was or became.

I noted to him how men temper in their view of things as they get older and as they see their own mortality are more willing to be understanding of those facing their own fates. I mentioned how Goldwater became an advocate for AIDs research and gay rights and how even Strom Thurmond mellowed into petrification as an "elder statesman" that even Hillary Clinton could like (when he wasn't trying to pinch her ass). He thought about it for a bit, and then said he's like to hear what Nancy has to say when she speak out on Stem cell and other issues. His logic: Nancy was his soulmate, she has to know he really felt. A cheshire cat grin ensued here.

5. Dr. Davis
Dr. Loyal Davis was Nancy's STEP father---her real father was indeed a rotter who left her mother.

I thought that was pretty common knowledge (?)

Dr. Davis was a red hot conservative and is often credited for brain washing the young Ronald Reagan (Sr)---converting him from an FDR democrat to a conservative politician.

8. If This Happened It Did At A Very, Very Early Age...
My father's association with Loyal Davis went back to the 30s. I remember hearing that Nancy's mother remarried but at a very young age.

For certain, Loyal was an "American Firster"...anti-semetic and racist...but that was acceptable, if not lauded in some circles in those days. No doubt a lot of this rubbed off on Nancy, and it is said he was the one who put Raygun in contact with some of the muckity-mucks at GE that led to his total conversion to "the dark side".

I also think Raygun was swept up in the McCarthyism of the time...not different than what we saw transpire in recent years with people like Dennis Miller and Christopher Hitchens..."trendy" liberals who now found it lucrative to be trendy convervatives. I give Raygun credit as he grew into his role.

6. Irony
"Little Ronnie. Still hanging on to daddy's coattails, even after he is gone. What a grave robber."

Meanwhile, Shrub does his best to become the NEW Ron Reagan Junior.

9. More irony...
their beloved Michael is the one who hangs on his father's coat-tails. Michael along with chimpy are the grave-robbers and neither of them are related by blood.

12. Hello!
Thank you for the welcomes!

I have been reading here for a while, but just felt the urge to participate. My political leanings are more socialist than straight Democratic, but the D party is the closest to my beliefs.

Most of my family is slowly coming around to the D party---they were attracted to the R's strong anti-communist stance when we first came here (many relatives suffered terrible things under communism--my grandfather was chosen randomly to be taken out and shot along with a few hundred other men just so the party could show strength.) still makes me cry to think of it and I am a big strong man.

now that communism is not such as strong force in the world, many in my family have started to consider social issues in their voting and most voted for Clinton. So yes sometimes people change their positions!
