WHAT is this Al Qaeda website?

I keep hearing about this Al Qaeda-related website that was being run by the mopes who kidnapped and killed poor Mr. Johnson, but no one ever says what it is exactly. Anybody here know? Not that I would go look at it because I'm sure the Fibbies have it up, but I'm still curious.

Those websites tend to appear and disappear almost as soon as they go up.

3 days ago it was showing up as registered in Dallas, TX. Today if you do it, you get Houston... You would think news of a "Radical Muslim" website being traced to TX would draw a little more interest.
It's amazing that any 12 year old downloading a Mettalica mp3 can be easily traced but here's some web-site hosted in Texas and they can't trace a thing. Chaos in Saudi Arabia seems to be in the works since the Iraqi oil isn't flowing fast enough. How soon before we go there to protect our vital interests I wonder.

So where did 'al-Qaeda' come from? Dolink says there are a number of theories - that the term was first used by bin Laden's spiritual mentor Abdullah Azzam, who wrote of al Qaeda al Sulbah, meaning the 'solid base', in 1988; or that it derives from a bin Laden-sponsored safehouse in Afghanistan in the 1980s, when he was part of the mujahideen fighting against the Soviet invasion, again referring to a physical 'base' rather than to a distinct organisation.
