Unless they gain a majority in the House, there is no way, and it's unlikely.

If you want to try to help towards a Democratic majority, you can give to to Daily Kos 8, listed on the left-side of the screen at:

9. Not just the Democrats!
Bush has lost the military, the CIA, the FBI, and much of his own party. Delay is the only one keeping the lid on things in Congress, though control of the RNC purse strings. If Bush cheats his way back into power, he won't retain it. If articles of impeachment aren't filed quickly, expect the military to act, although it may be subtle.

Things have gotten so bad internationally that the only way the US can regain any of its former position is by putting the worst of this bunch on trial. Really. It's the only way the rest of the world will be convinced that Bush is out of the ordinary and not business as usual.

Whether or not this bunch will be called to account for their crimes is anybody's guess. If they are not, this country will increasingly become a world pariah.

5. Yes
There is no way that there could be enough courageous politicians and judges to actually bring the Republican thugs to justice. For one thing they have the support of millions of flag waving, self-proclaimed patriots who think everything the administration does is righteous.

7. Mo' I think
that the little man will have to be frog marched out of the Whitehorse so hopefully they'll be no time for pardons. I believe the world as a whole will demand that we surrender these thugs no matter what * does or says. This has been a big stain on history, we're talking Hitler here. Just goes to show you what POWER does to some people.

8. I think you probably know the answer to that already...
not that I like it anymore than you do. If you consider the fact that the Dems are going to have a hell of a time just bringing ethics charges against DeLay (there has been a rider introduced with other legislation that would prohibit the charges), then you have it clearly spelled out. Unless something actually stirs up the populace (not just us) * will probably leave office smirking all the way to the bank, and the country will have experienced the greatest damage in it's history. Impeachment proceedings are not even possible (nor politically smart) at this point. For one thing, with the legislature stacked as it is, no impeachment proceedings would survive in either part of the legislature. Second, and perhaps more importantly, impeachement hearings at this point would only get that SOB a sympathy vote (I can just see Poopy and the creature from the black lagoon (with emphasis on Goon) standing in front of the * residential funny book collection, with faux tears running down their cheeks, talking about how mean we are to their ill-begotten spawn, and the RWers would probably respond. I say we wait until he's out of office and then make sure that a democratic congress investigates each and every pardon that POS issues before leaving. Next stop would be the ICC, as we will have demonstrated that we are incapable or unwilling to prosecute * and his sorry minions ourselves. (rant off)

But, God, it would be wonderful to see Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Ashcroft and Wolfowitz sharing the dock with the likes Slobodon Milosovic their brother under the skin.
