Does this seem odd to you?

I keep hearing the media, over the last few days, referring to the incident of Cheney authorizing the scrambling of fighters on 9/11. Why Cheney? I think that if I were President I wouldn't let anyone sneeze without my okay in a situation like that. We've all clowned around about the shadow government, and no one on CNN has mentioned it seems odd, so I just thought I'd ask what you guys think.

1. I think the story they are putting out now is...

they couldn't reach Bush on his cell phone(really not a joke) so Cheney had to make a decision but it was too late. Ofcourse that isn't how the chain of command should go in a situation like this but that is there story as I understand it....PLEASE THE MORE KNOWLEDGEABLE POSTERS CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG...DO NOT WANT TO MISLED ANYONE.

4. Would Cheney have launched missles ???

If the Soviets decided to launch there's at that particular moment. Lord knows, it's hard to get a hold of the president with all those people around him.

I bet that Cheney has the football, not Bush!!!!!
