The only negative anyone ever says about "the big dog" is...the Monica
story....I guess that makes him 95% perfect as a man....but his record in office as a President is 100% perfect.

The Clinton haters should be happy he had flaws...otheriwse...they would have to be quiet....or praise him.

1. I don't even consider the sex "scandals" to be a flaw.
My problem with Clinton was his administration's commitment to deregulation and relaxed corporate governance. I've never been all that impressed with "Third Way" economics, though.

15. Clinton was able to ignore the problems
set up by Reagan's reengineering of the tax code to favor the rich by coming in just as the dotcom boom was getting going. Had he not had that boom, he would have been forced to act. Instead, there was a long sustained "boom" that left 80% of this country's people in the same damn hole they'd been in since the OPEC oil shocks raised their taxes and lowered their paychecks and Ronnie set it all into stone.

Gore failed to address this, and he nearly lost the popular vote. Bush dangled the illusion of tax cuts in front of us, and he nearly won because of it.

Kerry will probably win this election because Bush is so much worse than even pessimists were predicting. If the Democrats want to retain power, they're going to have to start to address whether or not this country needs a middle class. If it does, they are going to have to recreate it the way FDR did. If not, then they're going to have to figure out how to keep a poor majority docile.

Business as usual will simply not keep them in power. It should not.

2. Closer to 99% than 95%
Hey, if Monica came on to me, I'd be on her like a duck on a june bug.

Forgive me; I have a weakness for chubby Jewesses. :P

3. Sorry, but apparently the "ad" today to be broadcast on CBS during
his 60 minutes interview is going to try to blame 9/11 on him. There was another thread on DU about it today.

4. I've often wondered if the Monica episode had never happend, what would...
the Republicans be saying now.

A President that could withstand a $90m investigation and the ONLY thing that they could come up with was private things that have nothing to do with his Presidency has to be the most honest President that we have ever had.

I wonder how mad George would come out of a $90m, 10 year long investigation?

12. It wouldn't be a $90m, 10 year long investigation
It would be about a $500,000, thirty-day investigation.

All I need are fifteen leftists, two with concealed-carry permits, one with a pilot's license and one with an Airframe and Powerplant license so the Repugs can't Wellstone the investigators. Fifteen halfway decent computers--iMac G4s or something else reasonably quick--with web browsers and e-mail programs--and a 1.5MBPS shared DSL connection. One airplane (it wouldn't have to be new, but it would have to be a light twin with decent range) so my team can travel quickly from place to place, and a mandate to talk to anyone and everyone.

Twenty days and I can impeach Shrub and everyone associated with him and get convictions, which is something they never accomplished with President Clinton. Thirty days and I can deport him and his whole sorry cabal to some deserted island. Sixty days, which is longer than I really want to spend, and I can raise some serious cash by raising a firing squad to execute all of these people and charging $1000 a head to be on it. Ninety days and Freepers would be sending in their thousand-dollar checks.

5. Yeah, but if Monica is all the corporate media focus' on, every time...
Bill Clinton pops his head up-and she assuredly will be-how does any of that help us win in November?

All we can expect from Bill reappearing, is a nonstop rehash of the entire ludicrous affair...and Bill Clinton is smart enough to know this-none smarter, I will give him THAT.

The corporate media and the GOP must be breathing a collective sigh of relief, at the return of their most favorite topic-the Clenis.

Along with the Peterson, Jackson and Bryant cases, this should give them enough material for months, to justify ignoring the complete botch Bush has made of this nations affairs; and the FACT that he and all his cohorts are nothing but a gang of criminals, if not murdering liars.

Thanks a lot Bill, now go away.

7. It's not what they got
but their spin. They will say weak on defense leading to 9/11, weak in morals. Also, press attention on him will take press attention away from the myriad of investigations and turn into a debate fest on Clinton.

8. Remember, kids, the ratio 138:2
Number of indictments and convictions in the Reagan Administration vs. the Clinton Administration.

(I think that's the number...I may be off by a few)

18. UM, DUMMY,
The sanctions were from the UN via BushI. Clinton only bombed targets that Scott Ritter could not inspect.
I can think of alot of reasons that I don't like you. But you know that because I am not alone.
