Suspicion vs Conviction
Swaying public opinion can be accomplished with inuendo and suspicion. To obtain a conviction however we need hard evidence.

There are a number of issues that we at DU love to rally around. Anything that would seem to tarnish the BFEE we will immediately hoist up and parade it around. This can be used against us. All the right has to do is dangle a story in front of us and we will chase after it. When it later turns out to be false we will be made to seem the fools.

Our suspicions should be the start not the end. It should be the light to help us find the actual evidence that we can use to bring these monsters down. But it cannot be our entire argument. Without real evidence we cannot convict the BFEE in the eyes of the public. The right has a better conduit to the press and the press is not going to run our suspicions. They are going to demand evidence to sever their ties to the right.

We need to keep the noise level up. It does have the effect of keeping the BFEE on edge and may cause them to make a mistake. But we must be wary of hitching our entire cart of credibility to just our suspicions. We need to continue the research. We need to be prepared to find that a vein we have investigated extensively may turn out to be a false lead. We need to keep digging. We need to bring these monsters down.

1. This is why I've been saying, "Push the incompetence angle"
The bastards have admitted they were incompetent and that is a losing issue for them. Nobody wants admitted incompetent running the country! We can hammer them all day and all night over the incomptetence angle and it will stick because the morans (sic) have admitted to it!

In the meantime, some people in the background continue to dig up the hard evidence that the administration purposefully lied.

It's a win-win scenario for Democrats that nobody seems to be noticing.

2. Funny how if we put out something that later is proven wrong we're seen
as idiots but during the Clinton years stuff was thrown out daily and proven to be false and no one thought of the right-wing pundits as idiots, they just went on to another outragious lie and then sum it all up after the fact as Clinton's term being racked in scandal. We somehow have to overcome this double standard.

3. Sad but true
The Corporate owners of media, left to their own will side with the right. To get them to do their job correctly they will have to be hit over the head with a substantial and undeniable example of BFEE's crimes.

4. Beautifully said--we must concentrate our efforts on provable facts--
there is plenty enough to go around without resorting to pursuing innuendo. Leave that to the mainstream press.

I have already offered my research skills to MoveOn; anyone who is interested, here is the link:

We can defeat the murderous liars and their lapdog, cheerleader media through intelligence, truth, and organization.
