Iraqis will have legal custody of Saddam - US will keep physical custody..
Just heard on MSNBC News... What does that mean? If anything? Nothing changes. How could they "legally" give other prisoners over to a sovereign nation of Iraq but keep one, Saddam Hussein? Would that be questionable by international laws relating to sovereign control?

1. Legal double-speak.
They think it might sound good to the Iraqis, whom I think will not be fooled.

2. Do the Iraqis get to see him every other weekend?
And maybe on his birthday.

:-)

3. If it actually means what the words mean,
The United States would just be playing jailor, and would be legally obliged to do what the Iraqi government asked the US government to do.

Ultimately, it doesn't matter either way, because "full sovereignity" will almost certainly be nonexistant.

4. It Means Iraqis Will Have to Pay US Child Support
But Iraqis can sign premission slips for Saddam's field trips.

5. Iraqis will have full sovereignty but ...
... the US will have veto power and choose all the ministers.

Same shit, different sentence. These guys have taken lying to a high art form. They make Big Brother look like an amateur.

9. Not shocking...
Saddam's probably been quietly killed and tortured to death (a fate I am not against, given the horrors that creature committed... if only all evil dictators could have the same fate.) Heck, they've learned from Saddam's sadist sons that you don't parade the dead bodies around town for all to see...
