What will we tell the children?
Many thanks to Cocoa, whose thread with this link
http://wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=13912
inspired this.

"Mommy, why was George Bush* peached?"

"Because he did some bad things, Honey. And he was IM-peached"

"And that's why he couldn't be the president any more?"

"It's a little more complicated than that, Honey. Mommy'll try and explain. See, first of all, he was never really elected. So he wasn't really the president and he didn't deserve to be in the White House in the first place. I think we'll have to wait until you're a little older so you can understand about that part."

"But what bad things did he do Mommy?"

"Well, Honey, he told some fibs. And because he told the fibs a lot of people got hurt real bad."

"Mrs. Parker would give me a time out if I told a fib."

"I know she would Honey, and that's kind of what happened. Mr. Bush told some big fibs and the people decided he needed a long time out. That's why he's gone now. He told fibs that made us have a war. Remember seeing about that on television? Remember we talked about the young men and women and the mommies and daddies who wouldn't come back from the war? I know you're a little young for this, but remember how we talked about it when Petey died?"

"Petey was the BEST hamster."

"Yes he was, Honey. But we talked about what happened to Petey, and how he went someplace and couldn't come back. And that's kind of what happened to the mommies and daddies in the war."

"That's sad, Mommy."

"I know Honey, it's very sad."
