Conservative hypocrisy regarding Saddam (and Castro and others...)

Doesn't the argument usually go "we don't feel bad that our trade embargo prevents people from being fed and provided with medicines they need because <insert leader's name> has a ton of money and he's not using it to feed and treat his people"? I heard this on CNN the other day, and I thought about the inherent hypocrisy involved, being that Republicans have given our government's money back to the rich instead of using it to feed OUR poor, provide medical treatment to OUR people, or educating OUR children. Why should they expect Saddam, Castro, or any other of these rulers to be any different than us? :shrug:

1. Because "capitalism" is the godly way to hoard resources....

And they are very afraid of any straight talk about some programs in such countries that are successful.

For instance, when they attack Canada's health care system, they come up with ridiculous things like, "Oh my god, you have to wait six months to get breast enhancement or a nose job!"

Of course, leaving out the part about how we are bankrupted by the most advanced medicine in the world. Or how we spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to keep corpses on respirators.
