Have Republican business owners hired people recently just so the......
unemployment figures will not be so high, and therefore help Mad George win the election?

I'm sure my paranoia is just showing, but I can't help but think they might hire people they don't even really need just to be sure that things go the way they want in November.

2. No Way
Elaine Chao (Secretary of Labor) just buried the numbers and cooked the books.

Remember, she's the wife of Mitch McConnell---the #2 man in the Senate Majority.

4. No. 94% of the new jobs for April 2004 are just speculation.
It's called the "CES Net Birth/Death Model."

Bush's Labor Dept. speculates that new businesses the agency has yet to hear from have created 100,000s of net new jobs.

7. don't know 'bout that, but Iraq's fulla partisan kids fresh out of school.
Nothing wrong with hiring new grads, but Iraq is an obviously difficult assignment. Experience and some demonstrated expertise ought to play some part in hiring...NOOOOOO, partisanship is the defining hire criterion.

for our ports and stations around the Nation, 24/7... very important NOW that the Terrorists are pissed off more than ever,,, but all non productive jobs....with lottsa wasted time.

So we lost Uka million productive jobs and traded them for non productive ones.

A good leader takes care of all of the people, healthier, wealthier, and wiser. Bush is no leader, we are poorer, sicker, and forget wiser.

18.  Observe the new talking points in action
"the Kerry camp is making them feel like second class citizens"

It's like a flock of majestic bats, banging into each other over and over, isn't it?

Opinions like this are akin to finding a starving man, throwing him a mouldy shit sandwich, and saying "Don't complain! At least you're eating! Can't you see how much better your life is now?"

20. Different numbers
What do you mean that they fudge the numbers by not further extending unemployment benefits? The unemployment rate is different than then number of people collecting unemployment compensation.

21. If people's beneifits run out then they are
offically off the unemployment rolls which means they don't count anymore. As far as i know that directly affects the unemployment rate that comes out every month.

22. Unemployment rate is very different than collecting unemployment
The unemployment rate is calculated based on polls of businesses and people by the Census Bureau. It has nothing to do with how many people are collecting unemployment benefits.

that the bushgang has completely politicized the Council of Economic Advisors, the Labor Department and all the other departments in the executive branch.

they just make up numbers to try to make bush look good.

23. Speaking from experience,
Republican business owners would rather die than hire people they don't need. They are the biggest tightwads on earth when it comes to business. My experience is with my dad and a couple of other Repub business owners I am familiar with.
