How could he objectify such a great woman? Jack Ryan has some serious problems, and the public is fortunate to have found out about them now. He didn't have the proverbial snowball's chance against Barack Obama, but his ego would have demanded running for office again sometime.

Jack Ryan wants to limit the damages which people can collect who are victims of medical malpractice, and reduce services to the poor on the grounds that people should individually help the poor instead.

This is a typical case of a revolution eating its children. With Gary Hart, the Republicans found that they could destroy a candidate with sex allegations, which led to the Clinton impeachment nonsense.

Now it has come full circle.

I keep wondering about Jack, here. While I'm one who is disgusted by DU harping on the "hot" babes and other misogynist drivel that keeps getting posted by supposed liberals, there is no denying that Jeri is beautiful in many ways. Jack Ryan has lost a beautiful wife, an chance at the US Senate, and his reputation, in a very short time. There should be a lesson in there about Karma somewhere.

The "Star Trek" heroes rescued her, but couldn't remove that thing near her eye from when she was part of the Borg machine.

Holy &*%^, man, she's a 'smoker!!!!! :evilgrin:

I've only seen her as Seven-of-Nine with all the makeup on. I had NO CLUE she was that hot in real life.

I guess having kids made her "undesireable" in Jack Ryan's eyes. It's almost as if he was trying to "Costanza" a breakup with her, perhaps so he could go screw some 19 y/o staffer guilt-free. :eyes:

Jeri's looks don't make his treatment of her any worse. That's what's being implied that I have a problem with - that it his behavior is somehow more outrageous or unacceptable because she's good looking.

Abusive men are going to abuse their wives no matter how they look. Anyone can be abused. That's the point that's being missed. No matter what Jeri did, it just wasn't good enough for Jack Ryan. The problem is Jack Ryan. It really had nothing to do with her; he would have treated anyone the same way.

Her looks are the only reason I even bother keeping up with the story.

Ryan fucked up a good thing. I had the "whole" thing once, also. A very pretty wife, two darling daughters, the whole thing like I said.
A lot more precious now that I know what I lost. I wonder if he feels the same thing.
