...but viral meningitus is a really shitty bug you can get that kills you if it isn't treated in a short period of time, like three days or something. It's not that common, but it's fairly contagious and it's effects are horrible, so the news whores run it out any time they need to distract from something else, like the success of F9/11. I hope your cousin is OK.

5. bacterial menegitis is the bad kind

this is one of those few situations where a bacterium is more difficult to deal with than a virus. The bacterial form is much more dangerous...

She'll be okay. Viral meningitis can make you feel pretty sick but it's usually not fatal. And it usually occurs in small outbreaks. My daughter had bacterial meningitis this past winter and that's the type people should really worry about.
