Coward Doug from Upland mentioned in the Houston Chronicle.

Internet helps widen rift between the political left, right
Web sites harden already opposing political positions

............
Berg was a Bush supporter, but his father, Michael, like Anthony-Benavides, signed an anti-war petition for the International Act Now to Stop War and End Racism (A.N.S.W.E.R.) coalition. A conservative known as "Doug from Upland" took the petition and turned it into a posting called "Here is the enemy" on FreeRepublic.com. Doug from Upland told the Chronicle he had no idea who Berg was when he posted his enemies list. He said he wanted fellow subscribers to FreeRepublic to know the names of people who had signed on to what he described as a communist organization.

"That was my opinion. Here are the enemies of America," Doug said. "I called them enemies because I believe that while we are at war, they really are the enemies. They are hurting the morale of our troops." Doug said he was motivated to post the enemies list because his son-in-law is in the Navy and one of the signers of the anti-war petition identified himself as being in the U.S. Coast Guard. "That man had no right to have these feelings if he was in the military," Doug said.

Doug, who is 51 and lives in Upland, Calif., is in commercial real estate and was among those who questioned Bush during a Jan. 4, 2002, town hall meeting broadcast on C-SPAN. His photograph is posted on the FreeRepublic site, but he did not want to be interviewed using his last name because of concern that a liberal backlash would harm his business.

"They're foul-mouthed and vile and they call for violent behavior," Doug said.

----------------

Can you guys believe this Doug from Upland? In his mind, he has the right to do all these things but the liberals don't have the right to do their thing. This guy is such a coward. I don't use my real name for fear of a liberal backlash. You Californians should find out what real estate company this asshole owns and get the word out to the liberals out there and warn them not to patronize his business.

3. Gotta Love Him
Doug said he was motivated to post the enemies list because his son-in-law is in the Navy and one of the signers of the anti-war petition identified himself as being in the U.S. Coast Guard. "That man had no right to have these feelings if he was in the military," Doug said.

He apparently thinks he can tell certain people that they have "no right" to have anti-war feelings.

(Figuratively) lick my nuts, Doug.

That doesn't mean his office is IN Upland. There are several small cities nearby and he could be in any one of them. Not that easy. I ought to know cause I perused the local phone book. Dozens and dozens of real estate offices.

I have a phone book, and there are many, many more than 25 real estate offices in this area. I suppose the ones you saw on the website are the ones listed with the chamber of commerce, but I'm not sure.

It's all slipping away, isn't it Doug?

Your boy ain't the Second Coming, and the U.S. is far from perfect. We are getting our heads handed to us in Iraq and Afghanistan. A dumpy, unshaven liberal wearing a baseball cap, weilds more influence over the American people than you and your FRiends could ever hope to muster with online delusions of fascist grandeur.

Your "enemy," friend, is the truth. The weapon of choice amongst the free-thinking. You can live in denial of it only so long until finally, it's crushing weight reduces you and your intellectual pea-shooter to a stain on the floor. You have lost the battle, Doug. Until you decide to conquer the dark forces within yourself, you will always lose. You are the epitome of all that you scorn.

We don't need violent behavior to combat your diseased being. Evolution will remove the likes of you and your kind soon enough.

21. Shouldn't there be some kind of register of real estate
agents? I mean, they have to be licensed, don't they? So there ought to be a state registry or something.

I just think it ought to be pretty simple to locate this guy and make an example of him -- in a nice way, of course. He certainly hasn't shied away from publicity.

30. hey neighbor
I grew up in the town next door (Claremont), although I fled to the bay area to find a more simpatico environment. I'm actually appalled at the conservative shift in my old stomping grounds. Not only is it now home to the Claremont Institute (more RW think tank oligarchy propaganda), but the police have shown their xenophobic proclivities. Good to hear there are still progressives to be found in the old neighborhood.

As for Doug, he looks like he's well on his way to getting a public airing of his idiocy and narrow mindedness, which should provide him the delusion of a left wing conspiracy as the reason for the repudiation and ostracism that's bound to follow.

27. More info about this Fu*k...
Doug from Upland (yes, I really am from Upland) has been described as "The Bard of Upland" and a "Clintonologist" by L.A. talk show host Doug McIntyre.
In the last decade, I've probably made about 2,000 calls to talk radio shows and been a guest on many shows. I am absolutely hated in Los Angeles by the lefties and Clinton buttkissers and have received threats and hate mail. That warms my heart.

After college I taught for five years and then ran a real estate business specializing in creative real estate, commercial and investment property, exchanging and consulting. In addition, I taught real estate law, finance, practice, economics and investments at the college level for 10 years. If you have a real estate problem, I can show you how to solve it. I have exchanged property in many states. For a short time, I had a real estate problem solving talk radio show at a small station in San Bernardino, CA. I am still doing some real estate business with a few long-term clients.

Mrs. DFU doesn't particularly enjoy my political activities but I don't hassle her over quilting so we manage to peacefully coexist.

FAVORITE FREEP - getting the chance to talk to Pres. Bush on CSPAN at the Town Hall Meeting in Ontario, CA in Jan. 2002. He almost cried when I gave him a message from my son in law and entire crew aboard the USS ENTERPRISE that they were honored to call him their commander in chief. Then, I got to ask him a question and began with, "After you send Tommy Daschle to his room for being bad......."

2nd FAVORITE FREEP - I did a FReep before I knew what a FReep was. It took place in Feb. 1998 just after Drudge broke the Willey and Monica stories. I flew to DC for the weekend and paraded in front of the White House with a poster-sized eviction notice. Unfortunately, the Secret Service would not let me serve it on the scumbags.

3rd FAVORITE FREEP - making the presentations at the FReeper Victory Brunch, including the Kneepad awards to Brokaw, Jennings, and Rather. Although some thought I was over the top calling Hillary "Satan's Daughter," I would do it again in a minute.

Parody Songs - I think I am up to over 1400 of them on FR.

Profile update: Since 9-11, I have been working with a company that protects buildings from terrorist bomb blasts. It is the most exciting thing in which I've ever been involved.

http://www.freerepublic.com/~dougfromupland/

The loser is probably lying about his latest job. What would a company that protects buildings want with his dumbass?

Google his email addy on the web or "Doug from Upland" and see who is "foul-mouthed and vile and they call for violent behavior,"

With his idiotic song parody we've established his vileness - in this online quote from him he wishes for McDougal's death:

From: doug from upland (dc4afee@keyway.net)"
04/14/99 14:55:45 PDT
"It seems pretty obvious that they killed the wrong McDougal in prison, huh?"

28. dFU
...as was already stated on DU, has a problem with women. He is obsessed with the sexuality of the Clintons, and obsessed with the women allegedly the targets of Bill Clinton's lust. He manipulates women such as Katharine Prudhomme (whom he coached to confront Al Gore in New Hampshire on the campaign trail) and Juanita Broaddrick. He notifies Clinton's speaking engagement entities in advance that they are responsible for presenting a "sexual predator" to the public.

Oh, and he also threatened the physical safety of Alan Dershowitz, taped on c-span.

He's a weird person.

And this business about real estate? How does that fit with the fact that he claims to be working for some kind of homeland security company that develops windows that are blast resistant?

What's up with that?
