DC DEMS beware

When I first joined DU two years ago we were the clearinghouse for everything anti bush and pro save our country. If any one as pissed off as me wanted to know where to look for information that could not be found on facsist tv DU was the place. Away from the board and in the real world no DC DEM with POWER IN WASHINGTON DC seemed willing to fight. There were very few House or Senate Democrats willing to fight the Greedy Old Prikkks across the aisle. The few that did were not even a given a hand up off the ground when Karl Rove and his bullies smacked them down. DC DEMS acted like schoolboys afraid to fight the new bigmouth bully fucking up the playground because they did want to get in trouble. So now we have F/9-11 screaming DU news on screens across the country and still not a discernable peep from the gutless in Washington. And now I am pledging my vote to a DC DEM who only fought in the open with us after an outsider showed it was safe to do so, who stood by while that outsider was gutted and flayed by the enemy and who now is playing it safe even as it becomes clear to non DUer voter what a fucked up joke pretzeldent bunnypants has been. I will be happy to vote for anyone but Bush just to see his merry band of assholes run out of DC. But it should not have come to this. Real leadership would have led the way for impeachment and imprisonment. If Kerry wins, Oh God I hope so, and starts to polish the Corporate Facsist Apple just the same as the GOP then I will fight to run him and his gutless wonders out of Washington and the Democratic Party too.

Unfortunately, it will also splinter what remains of the left, but...... the survival of the country depends on this!

Now, how much time will you give him to "prove himself"?

I agree with your sentiments, but as long as we have a 2 party system, it will be too hard to reform the Democratic party without effectively supporting the right. So what do we do? Advocate for a multi-party system?

It has taken two years bloggin, and knockin' noggins on this board and elsewhere to be heard and it will take longer still but as long as we keep talking, writing, and badgerin' results will be had. I am the kind of idiot who thinks he can bust rocks with a tack hammer.
