Another stupid Bush bravado quote
http://www.cnn.com/CNN/Programs/wolf.blitzer.reports

President Bush may have been in South Africa on Wednesday, but he couldn't escape the questions about the war in Iraq, specifically, his January State of the Union assertion that Iraq was attempting to obtain uranium from Africa with the objective of building a nuclear weapon.

"One thing for sure he is not trying to buy anything right now," Bush told reporters after delivering a speech in Pretoria.

Oh? And how do you know that, Georgie? You don't even know where Saddam is, how do you know what he might be buying or not buying with all that money he stashed before we got there?

But hey, maybe his crack speech writing team told him.

3. Yes I heard that and said what you did.
My God don't you feel just so bad that he is standing up and saying he is AM? Makes you feel shame for your country.

4. Don't miss the today's poll either
Asks if Bush's statement in the SOU was an "honest mistake."

6. Dear me, a True Believer!
How do you know? We haven't found Osama, and we've been looking for him too. Can we say with any certainty at all that we have a clue what these guys are doing? So far we haven't have much luck at it.

7. Could be buying his ass off
Didn't his son roll up to the Bank of Iraq (or whatever it's called) the day before US troops moved in and take out one billion dollars in cash? Oh I think he could be buying a lot.

You know, he could also be selling. And isn't that the more important question? Isn't that what we went to war for. To keep him from selling WMD to terrorists?

All those tons of chemical and biological weapons that you were absolutely sure he had are unaccounted for. Nobody knows where they are or who has them. So, tell me please, how are we safer now than we were before the war.

Sadam missing.
Bin Laden missing.
1 Billion dollars missing.
Tons of WMD missing.
Military diverted from war on Terror trying to keep peace and not get shot in Iraq.
War Lords taking over Afghanistan.
Taliban reorganizing.
Al Quaida reorganizing.

Oh yeah, thanks for making us feel so much more secure.

8. here's a thought about Bush accountability.....if Saddam gets ahold of
chem or bio or nuke type weapon and detonates it in Europe somewhere shouldn't Bush be held accountable?

Most of the world diplomatic community believes a rigorous inspection regime would have kept Saddam in check (arguably a sane and worthy goal in international power politics).

By conducting a war and driving Saddam from the coop, Bush junta actually creates a new "stateless" terrorist group--those high officials with Saddam who are avowed enemies of the US and who have asymetric warfare and terrorism as their only option.

I hope it doesn't happen, but if it does...we have the twofold issue of GOP and neocons going over the top and slamming this country into martial law and suspending habeus corpus, etc. but also a huge dawning on the minds of realists that Bush is slowly murdering civilization.
