Need HELP with responses to RW NY Whoopie and fundraiser "OUTCRY"
Edited on Sat Jul-10-04 02:41 PM by LittleApple81
I am trying to collect points of response to Right Wingers’ demands to see the video from the New York fund raiser for Kerry/Edwards and their expectations for an “apology” because of what the participants said during the fund raiser:

Bush has never allowed videos from his $25,000-a-seat fund-raisers to come out. What does he say there and who shows up that he wants to keep it secret? We want to see those videos before we publish ours.

The Kerry/Edwards fund raiser was a voluntary show of support. His supporters expressed their own opinions. Democrats are for free speech and not muzzling people’s opinions.

Kerry/Edwards supporters who expressed their opinion did not lie or libel Bush. There is nothing to disavow.

Kerry/Edwards supporters did not incite to violence against Bush. Free speech is not to be disavowed.

Citizens are outraged at the Bush government's behavior. They have a right to express their outrage vocally and non-violently as these participants did.

Bush supporters (Limbaugh, Savage, Coulter) have expressed their opinion and desire that violence be exerted against anybody who dares contradict, oppose, or ask questions of the Bush government. We demand that the Bush campaign disavows these conservative supporters.

______________________

Anything else? I want to try to compile a good list to send to Kerry's campaign. Even if they don't pay attention, at least I feel like I expressed an opinion.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

1. Rumors have persisted for years that Republicans are naked
and having group sex at Bush fundraisers. Why doesn't Bush put these rumors to rest once and for all. He should release the videos and prove to the world that, contrary to popular belief, Republicans do not engage in group sex with multiple partners simultaneously at these fundraisers.

17. I thought I was
the only one that heard about that rumor. A good friend of mine is a staunch Republican and he said that goes on sometimes. I always thought he was just pulling my leg because he knows I liked Bill Clinton so much. I might tell him I converted to his side just so I could maybe get some Republican nookie like Shannon Doherty,Sara Evans(country singer) or Heather Locklear.  :bounce:

27. Did you hear about the Crisco?
For one week prior to these closeted fundraisers you cannot FIND a can of Crisco anywhere in local stores.
Coincidence?
I think not!

3. Two words for the Repukes: Cheney You!
I haven't heard any of those imbeciles clamoring for a Cheney apology. And he's an elected official, not a comedian. Ok, he is a clown, but he's not a comedian.

approach to "civilized discourse."

20. And Our unvicepresident

is able to get away with his trash talk on the floor of the senate.

That would be the same as KERRY or EDWARDS actually made those statements and they did not!

My response to the Bushites/media whores would be...

Please let us not go in that direction.
It is not in the best interest of the Republican party to draw attention to the right to free speech of some of the stars attending the fund raiser.

If you insist on going in that direction, we will have to point to the shocking expletives delivered on the floor of the Senate by the currently sitting Vice President.

His totally inappropriate remarks came not from a private citizen but from our elected official, the family values cheer leader.

Chimp called the NYT reporter Adam Clymer (sp?) a "major league asshole" and Cheney said "big time" in response.

7. I'll take their criticisms
seriously when they do something to muzzle their RW shills. Add to your list Hannity, Ollie North and Dennis Miller. There are many levels to what is offensive. THe Dems can't hold a candle to some of the crap Bush apologists put out.

9. Fuck them

I had to respond to a wingnut in-law of mine this morning about this very thing. My response was to tell him to stick it up his ass. I told him that if he was going to gripe about this thing, he needed to take a look at what 24 HOURS A DAY 7 DAYS A WEEK of what RW hate radio and FNC spews and put it into perspective. Then I told him to get the hell off my property before I kicked his ass!

We don't need to be reactionary right now, the Bush* camp does. It's their team that is the criminals, not ours. If the best thing they can come up with is some celebs talking trash about Bush*, they must be pretty desperate.

11. Demand Cheney " Go Fuck Yourself" Video from Senate floor.
Keep asking Republicans if "Go Fuck Yourself" is Cheney's new catch phrase. Every time they bring up Whoopi, play Cheney's verbal assault.

19. Send them copies of the First Amendment
Since the Bush campaign seems to have a problem with this issue, it might be a good idea to send them a copies of the First Amendment. Since they seem to keep on losing their copy, it is important to send more than one copy. I think that a minimum of 10,000 copies will do.

You could also ask why they are more worried about the comments of an American citizen expressing her opinion then they are finding a) those WMD and/or b) Osama bin Laden.

30. Bush doesn't like being called names.
Bush doesn't like to be called a liar or a cheap thug.

I don't like being called short. But then I'm 5'3", so I've learned to get used to it. I'm sure Mr. Bush will get used to being called a liar and a cheap thug, too.
