Kucinich on CNBC yesterday (I think it was CNBC).....
Interesting exchange I saw at the gym during the day.
Kucinich and some repub congressman were on talking about the blackout. Kucinich was very eloquent in stating that the government needs to get involved to investigate what happened and look at the high rates and talked about how rather than using the money they make to invest in the system and it's capabilities they use the money to boost stock prices.
Then the republican senator countered with "Well I think most people would agree that the worst private corporation is still better than the best publicly run one."
Kucinich responded "Really, well tell me. How about Enron? Was that privately run company better than most publicly run ones?
The idiot repub responded with the worst thing I've ever heard "Well then let's take what you're saying to it's obvious conclusion: The Soviet Union."
It was pathetic to watch and I almost (ALMOST) felt bad for the guy for looking like such a fool. Kucinich then sealed the deal by saying "Oh yes, well then by all means. Why regulate airlines? Why regulate food? Let private industry handle everything and see how good a job they are doing so far."
I'm not a Kucinich supporter but I like the guy and he's a great assett to the country and to the dem party. I hope that even if he doesn't win the nom that he has a place in whatever dem administration comes to pass.
Of course, it's the Republican business owners that actually go to Communist China and collaborate with their police state. It's the GOP corporations that get praised by the Vietnamese Communist party. Talk about projection.
"Well I think most people would agree that the worst private corporation is still better than the best publicly run one."
