A Yogi Berra Quote: "When you come to a fork in the road, take it."
Edited on Tue Jul-13-04 08:58 PM by Cyrano
How many millions of repugs don't have a clue that this country is at a crossroad?

The Republican convention will feature Schwarzenegger, McCain, Giuliano and Pataki as their prime time speakers.

They will keep DeLay, Santorum, Ashcroft, Orrin Hatch and all of their other psychos hidden from prime time cameras.

Perhaps most repug voters aren't as irrational as we think they are. Perhaps if they really understood the agenda of their party, they would reject it and turn against the hypocrites that are exploiting them.

If so, how do we rescue them from "The Matrix?" If they "get it" how do we make them understand they're voting against their own well being? Am I a total idiot to think there's any way to get through to these Kool Aid drinkers?

4. abortion, gun control and gay marriage
appeals to a considerable portion of the Repug party.

What about the rest of them that couldn't give a damn about these issues, but think they're better off economically with the Rethugs?

How do we go about getting their heads out of their asses before they too have to declare bankruptcy. (Not that they don't deserve it.)

2. Round up as many of them as you can, and take them to see
F-9/11.

Win them over one voter at a time.

7. The American public supports the causes of the Democratic party
...for the most part, Americans are moderate people. They do NOT support the extreme Christian theology of the Right Wing that has guised itself as the Republican party of the pre- Reagan Revolution.
The Republican Party of today is filled with hate, fear, and ignorance, but they disguise themselves as the moderate party.
That's why W won in 2000- Gore was painted as an "extremist" (even though most Americans agreed with Gore's stances on policy issues) and W was portrayed as a moderate.
