Bush's ass is in a sling in Iraq. It's a quagmire. What to do? Can't go running back to the UN on his own to beg for help. Solution?...Allow a car loaded with explosives to somehow slip by 2 checkpoints and blast the shit out of the UN...Result?..UN "sees the light" and utilaterally calls for a UN army to jelp the compassionate George Bush bring "freedom" and "liberty" to Iraqs oil fields.
Those checkpoints would be guarded by average guys (or gals) like you and me. To let a explosive laden car through would go against everything they were trained to do.
If the car went to just 1 checkpoint, that the guards at that checkpoint near the UN compound would have searched that car up one-side and down the other before letting it get anywhere near that compound???
more people are dead today that shouldn't be because asshole Bush couldn't wait to have HIS war. A war in which none of these doubletalking liars are risking anything along the lines that "our guys" are risking. F**K Bush
That doesn't make any sense. The bombing just shows that the US can't maintain security in Iraq, and Bush is trying to show that he can provide security in Iraq and doesn't need help from the UN.
It's like the missing "Orange Alerts". Notice how those have stopped since the Iraq invasion? Bush's point is to make sure everything seems more secure after the invasion and occupation.
This kind of bombing or an orange alert would show that Bush has been an utter failure at "protecting the American people".
Where would a "UN Army" come from? And if you're talking about UN "peacekeepers," first you'd have to show that "peacekeepers" would actually be worth the sand they'd be walking on...
