how hoover tried harder to create jobs than GW
I started reading about good old Herbert Hoover just to get some historical perspective. You know, that good old Republican owned up to the fact that he had a serious economic problem, that the wages were falling too rapidly, and that people needed jobs and relief.

1. Hoover
fed ,clothed, and supplied medical relief for Belgium and other countries during and after ww1. he is credited with being brilliant in his planning and execution of that aid relief.hoover thought that American business would work it`s way out of the economic spiral it was descending into-he was wrong- and he paid the price.

3. Hoover was a decent guy, but in over his head as President
It didnt' help that he inherited a Coolidge economy that was on the brink of collapse (he was the originator of modern-day Republican economics). Wonder why Coolidge opted out of another term?

Hoover was ill-equipped to deal with the Depression. FDR was the one that was able to think outside the box.
