He has squandered the surplus and brought back record-breaking deficits. He has overextended our military. He's a loser who has failed at everything he has ever done, and his evident incompetence has only been masked for periods by illusions of strength and military victory.

The fog that shrouds his dreary regime is lifting. What do you-all think he will do to refashion himself yet again? Because it will be something. I just can't think what, because I don't think he can get away with another war, and another terrorist act would just reinforce the point that he has made our country less safe.

Problem is, the 30-40% who might be scared by gay marriage are the same 30-40% who think Islam is evil and we're right to invade and kill as many of those "heathens" as possible, and spread the great message of "Murika" and "Jay-sus" to the world!!

Also, it could backfire in that if Bush hypes such morality/personal issues too much, people on both sides of the political spectrum will be asking "Why is he wasting time on such nonsense? What about the economy? What about terrorism?"

It's all being "handled". The fix is in.

The first 3 to say, "LOOKIE! We're winning!" These 3 great "catches" will be equally spaced throughout the next year. The last body will be thawed (no doubt around September/October 2004) so that we may all bask in a few weeks of misty-eyed Post-Reagan revisionism, leading right up to the election.

Bush will get his energy policies- a drilling extravaganza and more deregulation. -rich repubs get richer, everyone else gets poorer.

It's consistent with the rest of the "events". It would advance policies that have no chance without it.

Something the Repubs don't understand (and unfortunately, most of the people conned into voting for them).

Each "event", were it legitimate, represents opportunities to really shine- to advance humanity in remarkable ways.

This one, for example gives a whole people a chance to say, OK, that's it- I'm buying a hybrid. Or, Enough, I'll take the bus and research the candidates. Or, Let's pay something like European prices for a fixed time to pay for the conversion of our infrastructure.

And I do mean necessarily in that order.

Planted, speculative, 'programs'.... anything he can drudge up that the public will buy.

I think, if anything, they won't be planted... we will find a 'program' and 'facilities' that have as much basis in reality as the hydrogen trailers they found a few months ago.

The Bush administration is playing this too cool to not have an ace up thier sleeve. Sadly enough, since the public in this country seems to need bibs most of the time, they might be able to turn this into a losing issue for the Democrats and activists.

Just speculation on my part.

On the contrary, I think they're in way over their heads and coming apart at the seams. I think they believed so firmly that Iraq was a threat (even if only in that "we need to make the region safe for democracy" sense, or "non"-sense) that they willfully ignored all evidence to the contrary. But when you ignore facts, they eventually back you up against a brick wall, which is where they are now.

All the conspirators were together at the pigfarm recently hatching some shit. I don't think it was the power outage, they had to sober up the chimp* to respond and he still looked like shit warmed over. How they'll work it to their advantage is yet to be seen, but we had best keep our eyes wide open and have a rapid responce team ready.
My guess is they were plotting to take out the U.N. in Baghdad, noone gets between the b.f.e.e. and their ilicit profits.

I think election day is gonna be a "stay in your homes" day.

Everyone will panic and stay home, they'll "find" the dirty bombs at the last minute, crisis averted, Bush is a hero, elections scheduled for next week while his numbers are inflated.
