I'm sure this has been discussed in the past, but CNN is re-running their program on the Dean campaign.
As someone who was not a Dean supporter, I found this show incredibly interesting and it helped me to better understand the passion the Governor's campaign igninted. Truly amazing.
One thing that did strike me though was the fact there were so many rookies and wet behind the ears college students with high ranking positions on the campaign. It amazed me both in a positive way and a negative way.
It also presented an interesting look at Joe Trippi who I like a lot. My beef with Trippi is that he was too easily rattled and maybe a tad too idealistic. There were a lot of shots with him starring at a TV screen watching news coverage and complaining about it.
What I would loved to have seen is Dean's message being carried by bulldogs like Begala and Carville. I think that's one thing that proved to be a tough obstacle for Dean. He was tough as nails, but his campaign staff wasn't as tough as I think they needed to be. You gotta play hard ball sometimes and I don't think they were particularly good at it.
But in the end, if Kerry is to win in Nov., we all owe Dean and the rest of them a tip of the hat.
