Kinda makes a person conflicted about which is worse, FAUX not paying attention to the convention or FAUX paying attention and spreading their bile.

I personally plan on watching little else but CSPAN and maybe some network coverage from CBS for the next several days.

Faux probably knows the Dems will be speaking in a more positive tone, no ugly vitriol.

Staunch Democrats will vote for Kerry. Our hatred for all things Chimp sees to it. However, there are tons of undecideds out there who are ready to make a decision.

Hateful bashing (no matter if its justified) isn't the way to do this.

Ergo, Faux will stay away. If the Dems were going to come out all guns blazing then Faux would be there. Like the Wellstone memorial...Faux ate that up and served it up to their mushead viewers.

They won't do that, because the Dems are keeping it classy. I hope an issue oriented campaign with a minimal of personal attacks works, because I fully expect the Republicans to go nuts at their convention.

The freak-show at Democratic conventions is usually outside the arena while the freak-show at Republican concentions is usually inside the arena. Just stand back and let them implode like 1992.

What you say is the reason I'm going to place my focus on CSPAN. Their coverage of the news doesn't generally get me riled up as long as I don't pay too close attention to their callers.

surprised (or even annoyed) when they turn on Fox. It is what it is, and it is pretty ruthlessly consistent about it: right wing mouthpiece.

I wouldn't be caught dead sitting in front of a TV set with Fox on it. :P
