We MUST STOP this Media Assault on Dems

I have had it up to HERE! This isn't coverage of the Democratic Convention, it's just an excuse to get all the RW pundits together under one roof to spread their propaganda. The convention hasn't even started yet, think what it's going to be like tonight when the media turns over the ropes to the Bush 'War Room.' So they spend days criticizing our party when you know the Repug convention is going to be a lovefest.

I'm dead serious. What can we as a group do to stop this Bush pandering, Dem slandering media? What if we bombard them with emails each and every day? Not just a few here or there, but thousands every day. There are over 40,000 DU members. If only half participated this would still be 20,000 a day. How can we coordinate a group effort to stop this joke of a media before they go any further? My God, it's only the 1st day of the convention and look how bad it is already. I'm literally getting sick over this.

I think the idea of everyone deluging them with emails is a good idea. I don't know if it will change them but at least we can try.

makes all the difference. Hard copy letters are most effective, too. Just not buying their products isn't enough; the econmony isn't "booming", so everyone's sales are down.

I moved to Mexico immediately after the Bu$h selection, and very, very rarely purchase any products made by large corporations. My life is a boycott of Bu$h's America. I will not support a dictatorship in any way.

So someone that watches television is in a much better position than I am to make such a list. I do not have access to American television where I live.

But I would be glad to be a part of an email campaign to promote a boycott of the sponsors of RW media. :)

I was responding to a question about what we can do "as a group" to stop this media assault.

My entire life is a boycott of corporations and the US dictatorship. If no one supported it, it would not exist. It is, IMO, effective and direct personal action.

Maybe you should try it.

In case you had trouble understanding my post, I have no way of knowing who these RW media sponsors are, and indicated my willingness to be an active part of a group effort to boycott these sponsors.

I have been an activist for almost my entire life, and your assumption and assertion is more than uncalled for.

Record every moment on every station (if Michael Moore isn't doing it already) for DNC, then RNC, and make a film about it! Call it "What Liberal Media?"

I have decided to devote these 4 days to volunteering. I am volunteering to vefbally call them on their crap! I have already send five emails to CNN.

What if we just focus on CNN? Emails, phone calls,;etters to the editors,calling their sponsors and even picket their headquarters.

Tell me what to do. I can not sit back, turn on CSPAN and coast until November.

Someone decide on the details--who we should concentrate on etc---and let's get started!

I just sent a letter to CNN; told them I would be boycotting their sponsors. Also told them to start reporting on the DEMOCRATIC CONVENTION instead of turning it into a right-wing pundit get-together. I gave many examples of their bias.

I will write CNN once a day until they stop this crap. I will also phone and talk to an honest-to-god live person every single day.
