TN LOSING JOBS FASTER THAN REST OF NATION
http://www.wbir.com/News/news.asp?ID=18991
snip
A new report shows Tennessee had a net loss of 67,000 jobs between 2000 to 2003, and UT economist Bill Fox says the data shows the growth sectors are stranding displaced manufacturing workers.

Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development records show that among the state's manufacturing workers, 77,000 jobs were lost from 2000 to 2003 -- a loss pace greater than the rest of the nation.

We are still losing jobs day by day. It all started back in 2000 here in Morristown with the loss of Universal Furniture...... More jobs followed and now things continue to get worse..... All of this after 8 years of a SORRY EXCUSE OF A GOVERNOR by the name of Don Sundquist.. Thank God for Democrat Gov Bredesen, maybe things wil get better, but only if BUSH goes....

5. When I was in TN. working for Wes Clark,
I was in Nashville working at the Clark headquarters there. I was at a gas station and a police officer saw my Clark stickers, signs and buttons and said to me...."Are you here working for Wes Clark?" "yes" I said and he said he was trying to decide who to vote for. He had voted for Bush, but WAS NOT going to vote for him again. So, I gave him my Wes Clark spiel. ;) THEN, my son and I had taken a cab to the hotel from the TN. Democratic Convention and as I was getting out of the cab, the cabbie says...."Ya, I voted for Bush the last time, but I REFUSE to vote for him again. We have lost so many jobs under his administration and it looks like it's not going to get any better." I sat in the cab for a good 15-20 minutes listening to the guy rag on Bush. He HATED him. He also said he knew a lot of people who felt the same way he did. It didn't sound like TN. liked Bush very much back THEN.....and, like the cabbie said, things have only gotten worse.

I just don't see how Bush could possibly win this election. SO many people HATE him.

7. Now you see why it is so frustrating
for us here in TN, who know how people feel, when there are these posts on DU about screw TN, f**k TN, it's Bush country, no way for the Dems to win. It is just so counterproductive and discouraging for us here when we know so many people who hate Bush. There was an anti-war rally this weekend in Hillsboro Village - small but pretty visible.
