After her gutsy appearance diffusing the Sandy Berger flap on the Joe Scarborough show last week, I expected much better from her but so far she has not been a strong asset for the Democrats today.
this is like having the minister over for dinner...everyone is scrubbed up and on their best behavior... This Convention does not have to convince us to vote for Kerry...it has to convince the 10% of the voting population who are on the fence and this group is not comfortable with wingnuts and people who braid their beards. Sorry, it's just the way it is.
8. You were the one who implied that the left were a bunch of nuts.
I think Will Pitt is pretty representative of the left and he has credentials and is doing a pretty respectable job of reporting this thing. Obviously the left contains a pretty large spectrum...some of them are a little over the top.
9. We are supposed to behave as the Repubs did in 2000....
as Bush was "pretending" to be a moderate and a compssionate conservative, the right wing nuts and crazies just sat back and smiled because they thought Bush would take care of them when he got elected...and he did.
Hillary is pretty liberal and so is Kerry himself. There are plenty of liberals in the convention. And the last time I checked, improving education and health care is liberal, but Bush bashing is just redundant and useless.
