My honest critique as a Clark supporter: I don't like thinking of Sen. Kerry as a potential "war president." I understand its necessity, but I prefer to think of him as someone who can transform war into peace.

Wes was my second choice after DK in the primaries, and he was my highest hope for VP. I can live with Edwards, no problem there, but WOW, what a barburner of a speech Clark just gave! I sure hope he gets a cabinet post. I'd love to see more of him in government. All y'all who were involved in the Draft Clark movement, thank you so much for bringing him into this campaign, and into the public eye.

The party finally gets to see what we all saw many months ago. Now listen to all these media types who ripped the General during the campaign gush over him now . Oh well, I'm content anyway...

That was the best speech Wes ever gave. I'm so happy that he must be feeling really good about his speech and the reception and ovation he received. His family must be soooo proud. (I was proud too) I wish they showed them in the crowd. Wasn't that nice that Clark thanked all his family. I think he was the only one to do that. He's such an officer and gentleman. I just love him and miss him so much. :loveya:

I just watched the speech on the Internet (missed it live, was at a campaign house party). Wow! This was possibly the most important speech in WKC's life and he nailed it.

I'm not a flag-waver. But Wes Clark speaks with such conviction and passion about what patriotism means to him, it inspires me to the core.

I hope that if nothing else he stays in the public eye for years to come.

Hope he's got a post in the new admin. Really really hope....
