Tom Ridge reportedly considering resigning after November 2.
Edited on Fri Jul-30-04 06:27 AM by Bullshot
On the news this morning, Homeland Security secretary Tom Ridge stated that he may step down after the upcoming November elections, due to the workload of the job. Plus, he stated that he can't make it on his $175,000 a year salary with kids in college.

Boo freakin' hoo! If you can't afford college on your salary, Mr. Ridge, what about middle class families which make a fraction of what you're making, holding down two or more jobs in the process?

Out of touch bureaucrat!

4. Like this fuckwit will have any choice in the matter
And what a dumbass, whining about how he can't afford college for his kids on his $175,000. Cry me a river, asswipe. Welcome to the United States. And thanks for helping John Kerry and John Edwards make their point about the inability for people to afford college in this country.

6. GOOD! Tom Ridge wasn't the right person fir that job anyway.
I used to live in PA. Tom Ridge doesn't have the personality or the strength to be head of HS. I remember thinking that when shrub first announced he was naming him.

As to not being able to afford college on $175,000: no wonder HS isn't funded right. Apparently it's leader doesn't know how to handle his own money, how can he be expected to handle that high department's money?

8. $175K was not enough for college? Vote Kerry then
$175K not enough and he was stupid enough to say it? What an ass.

I make 1/3 of that and somehow I will send my three kids to college.

I actually went to the same grade school as Ridge and I liked him as PA governor but he is way over his head now.

10. My advice to Tommy Jr. and Lesley
GET A FRICKIN' JOB!

Or how about ROTC or a service academy?

Do people need any more proof of how out of touch this administration is?

12. Perhaps Tom Sees the Writing On The Wall After Last Night.
After all, after Nov.2, it's not like he'll have any choice in the matter. :)

Hope Is HERE, Tom.

You won't be for much longer.

Maybe you can Run a Bowling Alley from 1-7 in the morning, or something constructive like that.

13. Hey Tom! There's always the GI bill.
Let your kids enlist in the military and go fight for oil.

You'd have been out of the job by January anyway.

15. Unbelieveable
I guess that explains why they think they need to give tax breaks to the wealthy.

Cry me a river, Tommy.

And an extra boo-hoo for the man not being able to "make it" on a $175,000 a year salary--he ought to try living on $25,000 a year!:nopity:
