Free Republic is a hoot today
Poor little freepers, all they can piss and moan about today after the convention is the balloon drop. THE BALLOON DROP! There are twenty or so new posts out there (apparently they don't delete dupes), but definitely NOT worth visiting.

Oh and the usual name calling, but what else is new. Perhaps it is a wee bit immature of me to mock them. But it feels good! Yee haw!

1. They were bitching about U2 last night
The fact that the first song after Kerry's speech was "Beautiful Day". Questioned his patriotism because he's playing a song by a (gasp!) European band.

3. Ironic
U2 is also a Christian band, and that song uses a lot of religious imagery. I guess they are kissing spirituality goodbye.

I mean, after all, they have to be shedding more than a few of their participants. Not all of them are doctrinaire frothers, ready to quaff the Kool-Aid and Lotus Squeezings cocktail and follow Chimpy into the gaping maw of hell.

A good number of them are affected by the same things we are, economy, war, anon., and they gotta be waking up from The Long Snooze of The Last 3.7 years.

The lack of substantive discussion and comment surely is telling. I mean, we even have Joe Scarbourough ready to grow his hair long and spark up a resin-dripping fatty. Or something.

8. Joe Scarbourough may have a valid reason to grow some hair!
If we get a regime change there may be a "Joe Scarbourough Trial" that would sell more Coors Lite and Blue Star Ointment on TV, than the Scott Peterson trial has! Joe may need the hair and beard to sneak out of the country with Kenny Boy and the rest of the GOPer crooks!
