Idea about the Secret Energy panel...
Is it possible that there are among this group any real patriots who would not mind revealing their own identity? Is there anything in the law or SCOTUS dedision that would prevent an individual from identifying his or herself?

1. Not sure...
...but with large sums of money probably involved....it would be unlikely. These people don't want to jeopardize their cash flow...

2. I think it is a combination of not wanting us to know who was there
and what they discussed. I think they were dividing up Iraqi oil.

4. Maybe there weren't any patriots in that group.
Lay, Cheney, and the rest of 'em. No public interest groups or environmental groups were invited, that we know. If they were, we'd know lots more by now.

5. It's A Perfect Debate Question
Mr. Cheney, was Ken Lay in the energy meetings? If so, why?

All you will get is a "I don't have to answer that question..."

But you are right... it is a question that should be on the front page of every paper in the country.

6. IMHO, I would imagine that there is a certain amount of fear of...
...what the NeoCons might do if any of the participants came forward and spilled their guts. Cheney doesn't strike me as the "forgive and forget" type, and neither does FratBoy.

7. Doubtful.
Those executives that were privvy to the Iraqi invasion-for-the-oil plans are complicit in the crime. They won't sing unless they are offered immunity from prosecution for their part in this war crime.

9. My thoughts--The Energy Panel is such a closely held secret because:
1--Politically embarassing to show how shrubco is completely owned by the big energy concerns (i.e. all participants big energy company CEO's)

2--Actual discussion of conquest of Middle East nations particularly Iraq took place (think of the scene in Godfather II where the big coroporations are cutting up the cake in the shape of Cuba)--I wouldn't have thought this possible but after 4 years of shrubco I'd believe it.

3--All of the above
