The guy that hosed here was in some kind of fracas with what I presume was a Bush supporter wearing a Heineken shirt. In the clips they showed, it was little more than some pushing and shoving, and Heineken guy got the better of it. The cops then moved in and you can see the result in this picture. Our faultless newsreaders, however, did not see fit to analyze what had happened or (God forbid) criticize the cops. As you can see from the picture, the guy getting hosed is a pretty impressive physical specimen in threatening proximity to the Imperial Storm Trooper. Not.

KATU also interviewed an elderly couple sitting on their front porch near the action. I think they figured the couple would be in righteous dudgeon over having their tranquility disturbed, but the old guy, oxygen tube across his face, just smiled and said he agreed with the protestors. I liked him immediately.
