If Iraq is Truly the Central Front in "Our War On Terror", Then Why ...

The American people are now dutifully and daily “informed” by the President and his Administration, by the Republican controlled Senate and House of Representatives, and by the Corporate Media that “Iraq is now the central front in America’s War on Terror." This assertion has become our national creed.

Indeed if Iraq were the “Answer” given in the television quiz show, Jeopardy, the question would not be “What is the nation that occupies the Tigris and Euphrates Delta?” or “What Nation-State is Home to the Ancient Kingdom of Babylon?” The question that every red-blooded American consumer would lip-phrase would be “Where is the Central Front of Our War on Terror?”

At the risk of treason, I ask the following questions:

If Iraq is the indeed the “central front” in the so-called “War on Terror” then please explain why:

1.) Why is it that every "official terror alert" issued by Tom Ridge or John Ashcroft is always based on "intelligence" that comes from either Pakistan or Afghanistan? Have we had a terror alert from our "Homeland Security Department" of an pending attack on us from Iraq now that it is the central front in fighting terror?

2.) Why is it that Dr. A. Q. Khan --- the man who admits to having peddled information to manufacture nuclear weaponry to America’s enemies --- is a Pakistani living in Pakistan protected by the President of that nation?

3.) Why is it that it is still the Saudis funding the terrorist schools in Pakistan and Afghanistan?

4.) Why were there no Iraqis --- not one -- among the 19 hijackers who brought the devastation to our shores on September 11th in 2001?

5.) How could the murderous attacks in Madrid have ever taken place with over 100,000 American troops in Iraq and after Saddam Hussein had been captured?

Is Iraq really the “Central Front in America’s War on Terror?

Isn’t it about time that Democrats question this outrageous claim?
