July's unemployment figures come out on Friday
Do you all think the numbers will have improved or not? I think they have worsened judging by some of the economic data we've been seeing. If they have indeed gotten worse, what else will Bushco drop on Friday to divert attention from them?

1. Considering the drop in consumer spending...
One would think that the unemployment numbers will be up. On the other hand, the numbers they reports are so tender from being cooked and massaged that they are just falling off the bone.

2. Last Month they found an increase in pretend at home jobs of 182,000
Edited on Tue Aug-03-04 07:33 PM by papau
and said when they netted with the real loss of 70,000, they were left with a gain of 112,000.

This month they will need a similiar large number as an increase in pretend jobs if they are going to claim a job increase in July.

The GDP pretend works its way into those pretend job numbers.

The second qtr revision to 3% should drop the pretend numbers - if they are true to their formula.

The question of course is will they "improve" the estimating formula for "not yet reporting in payroll survey but they really do exist at home jobs", and thereby find more pretend jobs so as to have job growth in July?

3. unemployment will be down on face only
of course the media won't reveal that most of those jobs will be in the public sector, and most of the jobs created in the private sector will be part time (and probably at a Hel-Mart). The media also won't report the fact that the new jobs will be paying much less than the ones lost under the great idiot.
